Merry Christmas!

Hi, everybody that are reading this!

This is just gonna be a BIG apology post so I'm just gonna say it right now before I type like crazy... I'm SO sorry I haven't posted any reviews lately. I know I'm supposed to have one for November and December but.... I'm gonna tell you why in short. Just, you're not going to get any reviews until hopefully January, most likely January, so it's just for December because....

I have reached a mental break, I had a bit of a personal chrisis that broke me down compeletly so I'm trying to recover from that. And also, it's christmas so I'm a bit busy with other projects and presents for the family and friends and.. yeah, it's been really busy for me with everything that has popped up these mothns so, I'm trying to recover from everything.

And yeah, I mentioned I had other projects, and I do. Nothing is settled yet, but hopefully I'm gonna start on a photostory all by myself so that's time consuming and takes a lot of energy and due to the personal chrisis I don't have that much energy as I used to so I just haven't gotten around to watching movies or anything really.

So that's what's going on and now you know why I haven't posted anything here in a while. But I'll be here soon enough, I'm hoping and typing like crazy so... Hopefully I'll see you again in January! Take care and as the title says: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! HUGS TO EVERYONE that are following me here on this blog!

The Secret of Moonacre

Honestly.... I liked it! Probably more than liked it. I saw the trailer for this one before I watched it and I thought I was going to dislike it. But the movie hooked me in pretty early and it just became better and better... Except for the ending, but that could have been A LOT worse! So good on you movie!

The story... It's a little confusing on where everything takes place, but I think it takes place in ancient time in a world where magic excists, not in a magic world. First I thought it was going to be like Narnia from watching the trailer, a girl comes to a house and find a door to another world.... It's not. After her father dies she moves in with her uncle who is very rude to her, but still says that she belongs there. Confused she tries to find someone else in the house to talk to that hopefully isn't rude to her and can explain some weird things that are going on in the house. She finds a weird man, wizard, that tells her that the house and the land around it is cursed and only one girl can save it. She is that one girl.

What I liked about it is the characters. Some of you might say that they are bland and boring but I, who have seen characters that doesn't stay true to themselves, say that these characters are better than a lot better than those we see today. For one: they never break their character. If a character is brave, it's brave. If the character is the comic relief, it is. And if the character is a broody man who is rude, he is like that for the majority of the movie until the ending where he of course learns the lesson. I really liked that and that's what I'm talking about when I'm mentioning the characters in this blog. They need to stay true to... Yeah, you get the idea.

The other thing I liked was the story. It's a pretty simple one, but it doesn't really follow the old clichés. For one SPOILERS SPOILERS the thing that breaks the curse isn't love. The thing that creates the curse isn't just because people hate each other because of one thing that happened millions of years ago.  I thought this was very refreshing, yes it happens more often that love doesn't save the day, but it was the "evil" part that this movie did great. Not the hero part... If you get my meaning. So that's what I really liked with the story.

NO SPOILERS HERE: Then there were these other things that I liked about the movie, like the music, the clothes, the setting, the lighting(they really thought about it!), the make up and small stuff like that. The majority of this movie I really liked, but the big things are the characters and the story so... Moving on to what I didn't like.

I didn't like the special effects for this one. Sure it looks nice, but at times it looks SO fake! But if you can overlook those things, that's just a minor problem and it just appears with two animals that they were using. Also I have to tell you they are using both a real dog and mix it with CGI so, there you have it! They were just half lazy.

And yeah, the ending was a little messy with everything, I think they didn't want to do the cliché but at the same time fool the audience that they were going to do the cliché so... It wasn't really clear on that part and I didn't really like SPOILER SPOILER that the little girl could save the day by herself. In the end everyone is gathered in the same spot and they're trying to break the curse. At first the little girl is trying to get everyone to apologize for their mistakes, but nobody wants to. So she then tries to do it herself and it works... I did not like that. Even though it was done with some thought in it, but yeah... Not enough I must say. Still, it kind of works.

And that's all I'm going to say about it! I recomend it. It was a fun watch and I found many characters I liked and loved to follow them on their journey and see them progress forward so... Yeah. It was a good movie! I will definitely see this movie again!

Dark Shadows

Breath... Just remember to breath... I thought this movie was... Dare I say it? ... Boring.
It frustrates me because this movie had SO much talent in it, and NONE of it was being used! Before I rant about this movie, let me tell you how I was introduced to it:

After Twilight, everyone became obsest about vampires... And after a while I saw the newspaper writing about Tim Burton and his new movie Dark Shadows. They said that he wanted to try to reintroduce us to the "old cursed vampires"... Tim, you're not BRAVE enough to do it! Sorry to say it, but you're not.

I'm not gonna get into what vampires are because everyone has their own adaptations and stuff like that and so have I so if you're curious... You probably already know what they are. So yeah, I'm not getting into that.

I can explain the plot very simple: The humans act like humans and Johnny Depp does funny poses. That's the movie for ya! Intrigued?
This movie has several plots in them that doesn't really go anywhere. There's the first and main plot that Barnabas Collins is in love with a woman and of course she loves him back, but there's this other woman who loves him too and can't see them two together so she devote her entire life to tear them apart. She has some magic behind her to help her with this task and of course a hot body to go with it.
Another plot is that the family business has collapsed and of course Barnabas don't want to his family business tear apart so he restors it.
Another plot is that Barnabas wants to fit in with this new colture that he's not familiar with because he had been inprisoned in a coffin for 200 years! Why was he inprisoned? Boy, do I wonder! They do explain it in the movie but the logic behind it was not there so I missed it!
And that's the best I can give on the plot. Here's why it doesn't work:

It's chaos! So much happens yet so little happens that it's just... No! It doesn't work! It feels like three short movies were cut together that they just calles an hour and 48 minutes long movie! In the beginning you'll see Barnabas waking up as a vampire killing people, then you see him acting weird with this new things in the world because he has slept in for 200 years! And then we see him rebuild the family business and after that we see him getting seduced by a which and he falls for it, wait what?! He's a vampire and still he falls for a human seduction? ... No, sorry, but NO! And then we have the ending... which I'm NOT gonna say here. I'll save that for the end but yeah! ... It's just chaos!

What was good with this movie? ... Wait! Let me think.... Well... Johnny Depp, as much as I don't really like him.. I must agree that he's a good actor and he really lives into every role that he has. That's the only good part with this movie. I'm do frustrated because there was so much talent behind this movie and NONE of it was being used... Absolutely none of it!

When I watched Alice in Wonderland, the Tim Burton version, I said that Johnny Depp can do better. This was actually giving me satisfactory with his performans. He gave his all into this role and that was great to see... For everybody else in this movie... I felt they were just thrown away just so Johnny could shine even more. Well, OK, Eva Green gave it her all too and that was a great performance also, but still... It was such a waste of talent! Helena Bonham Carter, I love her, she has a lot of talent but... Non of it were shown in this movie. Michelle Pfeiffer, her performance in Stardust was excellent! Not so much in this movie.. Christopher Lee is also wonderful talented in everything he does and.. The screen time he gets is lesser than it was in Sleepy Hollow! Danny Elfman does the music! ... He does the music for the climax anyway! In the other part of the movie there's just constant pop songs! Waste of talent!

I also felt like this story wasn't made from its characters... The story made the characters, which made them stiff. I felt like I was watching plastic dolls moving around the sets that a recorded uninterested voice spoke for them! The characters was as dull as my wardrobe door, flat and colorless. They had backstories and actions, but no reasons for their actions. They had no personalities and to watch a doll drift around on the set... It becomes pretty boring pretty fast. This movie had no purpose. The characters had no purpose other than to be funny.. Ever tried to be funny to your friends? It never works. Those things comes naturally not when you're trying to be funny! If you have no characters you have no story! The story comes from the character NOT the other way around! No matter how much you try to do that!

Without purpose the scenes that are put together doesn't matter so why should I be invested in a thing that doesn't matter? There were so many things that just seemed they were thrown together in the last minute! The main plot which should be about Barnabas and the woman that he loves right? This movie concentrates on Barnabas and the woman who seduces him. Victoria, the woman he loves, get's SO little screen time. We see her in the beginning getting introduced to the family, we see her getting introduced to Barnabus, we see her for a five second long shot with the popsong singing, we see her kissing Barnabas, we see her in the ending... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!! Develope her character! Develope their love!!! I hate when, in books, characters get together just because the author wants them to get together! NO! Give the character life! How do you do that? Get the character to ask questions! Why are we humans? Because we ask questions, that's how it works! Do something with it!!! That's were the audience can get sucked in by the story because the character feels something because it asks questions.
And then we have the part where the father cheats with another woman and Barnabas gives him one choice: Either be the kind of father his children diserves or leave and never come back. The father leaves... Nothing came out of that scene! The son cries for one scene and then he's back to normal, his actions doesn't change or anything... He didn't have a personality to begin with so why would he get some personality now?!
And then there's this... In the climax, in the beginning of it (don't need spoiler alert because it won't spoil anything for you, I promise) we discover that their daughter has been a warewolf this whole time.... Why? .... Why? .... WHY?! They do explain it, but the explaination is SO weak and... Why haven't this been seen earlier? Why haven't we seen this before and no.. NO! That's NOT a WAREWOLF!!!! What happened to the good old warewulfs?! I'm not a warewolf fan, never was, but... I still don't want to see those warewolves be forgotten. But anyway! Sidetrack! I think they mentioned it ONCE and it was during a popsong so... That doesn't count! Why was she a warewolf? It doesn't make sense! You didn't need it!

I think I've gone through everything... The bigger things that disturbed me anyway. Now I'll be talking about the ending. If you haven't seen the movie yet and doesn't want anything spoiled for you, stop read here. Here I go..

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!
The climax... If I tell you it's nothing but chaos will you believe me? THE REST OF THE MOVIE IS NOTHING BUT CHAOS SO WHY WOULDN'T THE CLIMAX BE NOTHING BUT CHAOS?!!!!!!!!!!! ... Breath... Remember to breath.. First it's the fight between Barnabas and the which like it should be. And I was finally recognizing Danny Elfmans music that just gives me shivers everytime I listen to it... Then a gun comes in the way. A woman that owns the Cullins house shoots the which and says "Get out of my house!" ... Did I really just hear that cliché line? I thought we were passed that line. And yeah, then their daughter shows up and she's a warewolf.. She get's killed in a second... OK, we don't see if it kills her but she faints or something! And you know what stops the climax? Not Barnabas, no no... He's a vampire! He's not a hero in this movie! He doesn't stop the evil which no no! ... Turns out the son to the father who left have been talking to his ghost mother the entire movie and it's the ghost mother who we have NOT seen before.. SHE'S the one who kills the which! ... Kind of. I wanted to strangle the movie when I saw that! The climax is as long as Optimus Primes fight with the Fallen and SO many characters gets in the way of it... That just frustrates me!
And then Barnabas goes after Victoria to stop her to commit suicide (it's a whole story), but yeah.. He doesn't really success and in the fall he turns her into a vampire... There is no way in HELL he had the time to bite her, suck her blood until she was near death and then give her his blood in that fall! No way in hell! Also they forgot a small little detail.. Her mouth didn't have ONE drop of blood around it! So not only must he have had the time to turn her, he also had the time to wipe her mouth?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! Why didn't she die?! The movie would be SO much better if she had died! Then I wouldn't be as frustrated at it as I am! Then the movie would've had some kind of dignity! But NO! We have to make the whole movie a clichéd joke! Why?!

This movie made me so frustrated it made me cry. I have NEVER felt so bad about a movie before. I have NEVER cried out of frustration for a movie before in my entire life! It just felt like a waste of time for all those people who worked on it. They're talented people! Why not make something good?!
Maybe you think I'm being unfair, but this is really how I feel. You're here because you want to know what my feelings towards this movie was, I'm just giving you that. What you think about the movie is up to you.

.. So frustrated! I'm gonna watch something I like now! Bye for now! And Happy Halloween!!

Men In Black 3

This movie... I didn't really like it, but it was OK. Also I'm angry with it... Yeah! So now I'm gonna tell you in more detail, but first a look back!

Men In Black 1
I secretly liked it at first but I was scared of it. I was really frightened when I was a child and I sat with my family, my mother and my brother, and saw this film at home. My mother liked it, my brother loved it, I liked it, but was scared of it. Now when I'm older.... Loving it! The soundtrack is much better in the movie than just listening to it, Danny Elfman has done a fantastic job as always. The acting is top! I love the man who's playing the bug because he is doing a splendid job here! The colors, the make up, the special effects are all so fantastic! The characters are great also, the partnership between K and J.. Do I even have to mention it because everybody knows it and loves it. Tommy Lee Jones always so fantastic and Will Smith as well! The story is just another perspective, a what if story, what if there were aliens on earth and why we don't know about it.. is because someone is hiding them. That's the story, but why it's so good is because we're introduced to another world through the characters and we follow them in their "every day life"... Yeah! Why this movie was scary for me was because of the performance of the bug and the make up they gave him. That's why I love him today because he is so believable! Anyway! I'm babbling here so I'm gonna move on to the next movie!

Men In Black 2
I've always liked this movie. When I was a child and this one came out I watched this because it was more "kid friendly"... It was! It was more humor, no scay man where a bug wears a humans skin. Instead we have a woman that you can see walking down the street.... If you're lucky. Who isn't the least bit scary. She has a sex appeal... Yay! Anyway! I'm trying to remember right now what she wanted... But I don't really remember.... So we're skipping that part, watch the movie if you're curious. But yeah, this one was more "kid friendly" with more humor and stuff like that... Instead of K we now get Franky and... no.. He's just in it for comedy.. Last movie was just J for the comedy, but around him was pretty much all seriousness... In Men In Black 2... J isn't the only one that's funny! So yeah, but I still liked it, I still do because the comedy is still contained and funny. It never get's emberassed funny like they can do.. And yeah, I like the worms in this one. Anyway!

I'm not actually here to talk about Men In Black 1 and 2... I'm just telling you my oppinion on the previous movies so here goes.. The one I'm gonna talk about... Men In Black 3.

The story is something like this: J and K are partners, K get's threaten by someone he injurnerd and put to jail a while ago. That someone travels back into the past and kills off K. J is the only one that knows about the "other future" that might have happened if K survived his future threat. So he has to go back to the past and save K. Also he has to save the planet from an invasion.

Like many third sequels this one tries to follow up the first movie... But they forget about the details! That's this movie MAIN problem. They don't take up the details. Like the opening: When I first saw it, I sat back and the movie began.. I heard the original soundtrack and I got goosebumps. I was screaming at the screen "That's how you begin a Men In Black movie!" ... Then the visuals didn't match up... How did the other two began? The first one began in space, and then we follow the camera to a dragonfly that's flying on the road while the music is playing and showing off the credits and then the bug dies on the window to a car. Perfect! The other movie starts first with a backstory on a TV screen, then a shot in space as the original soundrtack is playing and we follow a spaceship flying through the universe and destroys planets. Then it lands on earth, let's out a... alien who then scares a dog. Great! ... Not this movie.. It starts with a prison escape on moon... All I could think to myself was: TRANSFORMERS! Transformers 3 were on the moon, the story came from the moon... Did Men In Black run out of ideas so they had to steal from Transformers?

Details is the most important thing to remember, it can ruin a whole movie if you miss them. Just asking a couple of questions... If K dies 40 years ago, how could he have recruited J? K was the one who came to the police office and talked to J about his alien accounter, after that they went out and talked about something that only K would talk about then they went out and had a talk and it was after THAT that K told James about the Men in Black. Only K could have done this thing because J and him have this conection that started from the beginning. So... If he didn't do it, who did? The day when K disappears, everybody didn't know who K was, but they did know him... Why? It doesn't make sense..

There's all these other stuff that K did that would happen if he died before the first movie so... I don't get it, but! Moving on! The main problem with this movie is that J has become a symbol, not a character. K has become a symbol not a characters... These are not characters anymore like they were in the first one and half of the second one... They are just tools that are trying to follow a path that happened years ago! J has no other purpose than being funny. K has no other purpose than being broody... It's not very interesting to watch.
K was a fast talking guy that tried to have fun but was always interrupted by his job, by the things he know. Like in the restaurant where J and K meet for the second time to have pie, he is laughing! Hard laughing, but then he has to come back to reality and that's why he's brooding. He can't enjoy life anymore because he had to give up his dreams, his family everything he enjoyed in life because he knew too much. That's why he wanted to forget everything and trained J to take over for him. In the third movie... He's brooding because he's K and he does that! .. I'm just.. Why doesn't K ask J again to make him forget his life with the Men In Black? Why isn't he angry that J never can do anything for himself? He had a chance for a normal life and J took him back from it because he needed help... I would be angry, if I've been brooding for sooooo long and then I'm finally rewarded with another life and then someone takes it away from me.. I would be like: "Fine! I'll help save the world for one last time... again! But then I want a freaking big vecation and a restrainingorder from the Men In Black!"

Men In Black worked because of the monsters and the characters.. If none of them work.. What else do you have left?
Also there was another thing that they forgot about the Men In Black.. They're secrete! J originally was from the police and then acted like a police would do, shoot the bad guy if he was a threat, shoot at the car to get him to slow down. That's why K taught him that he couldn't do that with these weapons. Far too many people would notice and they could only live a happy life if they didn't know that alien existed!
They really ignore that sentence here! "They have one of these neuralyzer that they use all the time!" ... No they didn't. That was used in special cases and interviews. NOT so they could do whatever they wanted!

Now I'm just gonna talk about the small details that drove me nuts but aren't that important so... If you don't care about that, go see the movie and make up your own oppinion. Have fun watching!

Yeah! So... Details... First one was Z dies and there's a funeral. At this funeral K speaks and it doesn't really makes sense, but what doesn't makes MORE sense is that the one that takes Z's place is starting to talk an alien language... The most annoying part is that J gets surprised and can't seem to understand her... YOU DID THE SAME THING!!! Did you forget? You did the beatbox thing with the aliens in the post office when you were getting K! Why are you surprised when another member from the MIB are ding the same thing?
The second thing! The elevator... No, this is interesting! They've been upgrading the elevator from the second movie, in the first and second movie it was a regular elevator with a front and back door, but now they've upgraded it into a glass, round elevator that only opens in the front..... I think. The thing about details is... you have to think about them. Why would they have that glass elevator in the 1969?! I don't blame them for keeping up the technology with the weapons and stuff because they could have gotten that from the aliens. If they had that elevator in the 1969, why switch it to a box elevator then?! And then keep it until year 2012... or whatever that year was? It just... It doesn't make sense.
The third thing! The technolgy... They have the same guns, the have the same elevator... But they don't have hyperspeed in the cars? ... WHAT?! You know what we get instead? Jetpacks... No no! Not the kind of jetpacks in Spy Kids and GTA, no! These are bigger, I don't really know how to explain them, but they're as tall as a human and you kan stand on them and they're half a orb... Ish. If you can build those jetpacks... Why couldn't you build a little red button that takes you into hyperspeed in the cars! Oh! And you know what else they got? Motorcycles that.... No! I can't... This is too much! The logic has gone to outer space and then exploded while crashing into the alien ship that attack the creators brain while making this movie!

... Details people. Can be fateful. Bye for now!

MirrorMask

I don't really know what to say about it. I definitly didn't hate it or dislike it. But I don't know if I like it... But it was a series of weird stuff put together so probably when I think about it I'll realize that I like it.

It was the Jim Henson company that also created Labyrinth. First I thought about Never Ending Story but something didn't feel right about that... No, it wasn't like the Never Ending Story. Then Labyrinth came to mind and yes. This was like Labyrinth but with a much better twist. I'm not gonna tell you the twist because it's REALLY good to my oppinion and I don't want to ruin it. So I'm gonna try and tell you the story.
This girl is pretty unhappy with the life she has... well, at first it appears that way, but due to her mother being sick and getting to the hospital she gets a reality check and is concerned when her mother is getting an operation. Suddenly she wakes up one night and finds that her world isn't what she thinks it is. She had woken up in a mysterious and weird world where darkness threaten to swallow the whole kingdom. We discover pretty fast that the things that are happening in this world are pretty simular to a story our main character came up with in the beginning. So it is pretty simular to Labyrinth but where in Labyrinth they only left a few hints that it was her imagination she was reliving this movie shows that it's her imagination. And that's pretty much the story. She of course comes across many different people on her journey to solve the clues to get home and to save the kingdom and it's very entertaining.

So the bad thing about it... It's fast paced. It threw me off very much and that's a major thing to why I'm a little confused on what I think about it. It's many "and then suddenly this happens!" and it throws you off, especially in the beginning.

The other thing I didn't like.... I'm not sure that I like the main character. She's not really interesting and it feels like she's just playing a role. That can be because it's so fast paced because she changes expression pretty fast. She can go from exploring seriousness to giggle and enjoying. So that threw me off too.

Also the music some times doesn't mach but it's not that many times I felt like that so it's just a nippick.

So what's good about it? Two major things.. That is the artistic way they shot it and the story. Damn! This is a VERY good looking movie. The lighting and the make up in this movie are FANTASTIC! It looks great! Also even though it's fast paced the story really is good. The twist I loved and you can never guess what's happening. I tried to guess but never figured it out and the use of the MirrorMask... I thought it was brilliant. I was impressed that they actually could come to this conclusion. Lately I think movies are forgetting the little details they have in the movies because it's little details. But here, I didn't have any question left in my mind because all the questions I had were answered... OK, maybe not all, but most of them. So I really liked that!

So that's my review. I don't really know what to think of it because of the disturbences, but I'd say GO SEE IT!! I'm gonna recomend it to many of my friends, don't know if they'll like it but it's an art that you need to see, doesn't matter if you like it or not. So! There you go! See you next time!

(I appolgize if there's gramatic mistakes and spelling mistakes and everything but... I'm writing this when I'm sick and yeah... I apologize but hope you enjoy it anyway ^^ Good night!)

The Hunger Games

All right... This movie... I don't know what to think of it. It isn't bad... It isn't great, but it's... Ok... I think I like it.. the first half anyway. And of course I'm gonna tell you why.

First a quick sum up of what the movie is about. It's pretty much Battle Royal. Although I don't remember that movie too well, there was a lot going on that I didn't understand. And for you who haven't seen it yet... Go see it! If you wanna stay here and read my review further first, but you have to promise me that you'll see Battle Royal. Good. But this sets around the future pretty much, but a future that have ranks... Kind of. There are those district that are poor and don't have much at their feets while others are pretty rich and have all that futuristic things. So one woman and one man are being chosen for a thing called the Hunger Games... Why they have a game like this I don't know... They explain it briefly in the movie and yeah... After a two hour movie you've forgotten what that reason was because a lot of other things happened. Why is it called Hunger Games? They don't explain. So that was a little disappointing. But yeah! Anyway... They send this woman and man to a city where the games take place and what is this game? 24 people is put together in the same stadium but there's only 1 that comes out. It's a game of survival and kill. So a lot of stuff happens in between as you can guess but that's the summary of the plot pretty much. If you want to know more, proceed, but the next context have spoilers in them so if you don't want to ruin the movie go see it. For the others... I'm gonna sum up now what I liked and disliked.

What I really liked about this movie was that they could get the feeling across in some of the scenes. The first scenes are put there to see how our main character is living her life and what she deals with everyday. She is pretty much living in the past, with old clothes, bathtubes and houses. Those scenes are pretty long, but they're there to build up what she experience later. They're not too long though, but yeah. you get the feeling of how she sees the world. Then she valonteers to the hunger games and is send off to this futuristic world with... Yeah, those houses you pretty much can see today and in Star Wars. And I really felt what she was going through. The running scenes they did great. They went by quick and the camera angles are great, I didn't feel dizzy like I can feel in some movies when they run and have a moving camera, but this movie did that great. There is a sadful deathscene in this which they handled great, but I have a little nippick about it, I'm putting that to the things I didn't like, and you really felt the sorrow out main character was going through. And she wasn't sad in like five minutes and then she forgets it, no. She is sad in about twenty minutes and then she forgets about it....... She had taken out her sorrow, so it's fine! She was still in the game and that pretty much distracted her. But yeah.. They got the emotions in the movie really well and I think that's what makes it SO good.

The music I liked. It fits in with the tone it was going and it helped with the story and I didn't felt distracted by it. It's not like with Tron where I only thought of the music because it was so damn good, but it's not like with 7 Ghost where the music was so bad that I got distracted by it. So the music was good, especially the end song. That I actually pointed at the screen and said: I want that!

The makeup was good, the clothes design was good and yeah, the design in generall I liked. So yeah... Nothing groundbreaking but it was OK. Although the make up artist must have extra credit because that was great. There were many times I thought it was good make up.

All right... Now to the things I didn't like..... The small ones first. This is to my personal oppinion and so here goes. I didn't like the first action scene. There was this first battle and think about that. So far they've played with this is a new world for our main character, she used to a crappy bathtub and old clothes and suddenly she comes into this world where everything is bright and big and stuff like that, the clothes are on fire and she's fine! ... Then to the first battle... They plat music over it! ... What? This is the time where you should have no music playing and we only hear screams and bones getting wrecked and.. This is a serious moment, because before this everything was happy, they were just nervous over the games but everything was bright and they still had time and so on and so on.. The first battle is the sign of "this shit just got real" and you don't play music over that scene! The sound of the battle should play there to show the reality of it. You were so good with the emotions in the rest of the movie, why not there? Was the guy sick that day or something? I don't know, but that threw me off a little...

The other little thing was the death of that one caracter where you should feel sad... Yeah, the main character mourns and stuff and calms the person down and then screams... But then she picks flowers and lay them around the body and puts a BUQUET on the chest.... Did you just forget that you're in a freaking killing game? Where everyone is trying to haunt you down? When did you have the time to do this? And after that she sits down on the ground and cries.. Ok, fine, do that but look for shelter first!! Find a safe spot to cry! Then you can cry how much you want! ... That threw me off too, sure they were trying to get the emotion down, but... Calm the audience down first! If it's open they're just gonna look at the background or wait for one of the other game players to sneak up and kill her. That's the best way of getting this emotion down to the audience.

Yeah.... Now we come to the third thing I didn't like.... This thing is pretty much making me dislike this movie... But the first half is so good that I can't ignore it. Damn you movie! Oh well! The supporting character.... The man from the same district... I HATE HIM!! All he is a dumb fake smile. Through the entire movie and he's just unpleasant to follow. I shall explain why. The first time we see him is when they pick his name for the games. There he looks like a scared little boy who just want to wake up from this nightmare. The second time we see him, he is trying to get through to his survival, he's talking with everyone, he's tring to be optimistic and stuff like that, he get's on a TV show and pretty much says that he's in love with our main character. OK... We have no idea who you are, our main character doesn't really seem to know who you are... How can you say that you're in love with her? But they do explain it so it's OK. But then the game starts... The first thing we see him do is co-operating with the other team and tries to haunt her down... The woman you said you loved in TV.. you are just trying to kill the first thing you do! All right, maybe he did for just the crowd, playing with their heads to his advantage, Ok, I'll by it... It's not. They don't explain why he suddenly changes, they don't even talk about it. But wait! There's more! After the sadful death they announce that there can be two winners if they're both from the same district. So our main character naturally thinks of this man.... She just forgets that he was trying to kill her, wanted her dead, when the game started. Just forget about trying to co-operate with him and just kill him! You can't trust him! So just go out and try to win.... No. She finds him of course, and even he has forgotten that he wanted her dead in the beginning of the game.... He's not sayind sorry, he's not explaining why he did that nothing! They just forgets about it! All together!! .... I HATE HIM!!! He was pretty much unnecessary!! Stupid character...

Oh well! The last thing I'm gonna talk about is the ending. I didn't like it. It just stopes in the middle so it feels like it's going to be a sequal... But I don't know how they're going to continue it while keeping the tradition of "hunger games" The game is over and if you're having a sequal where they go through the game again... You can't do that. Because then you wouldn't continue on this story. You would create another story! But yeah... There were a lot of questions I didn't get an answer to and I hated the last part.... But the first part is so good!! It really is a split movie, it's a schizo movie! One side is good while the other is bad! That's what I really think about it.

So.. Do I recomend it? ... I'm split about that. The first part I recomend but the second part I think you shouldn't see. There is nothing there worth seeing. So... Go see it and get your own oppinion.

Brave 2012

I'm going to talk about the build up I had with this movie, because I think it affects the way I saw it and therefore what I thought about it. So before I say what I think I'm gonna talk about it from the beginning.

I hadn't heard about this movie until I saw a trailer for it on Youtube. Then I saw that it was a Disney movie and I've had my history with Disney. I grew up with it and most of what I say, what I've learned comes from those movies, my humor comes from Disney, Disney is my whole childhood...... So, lately I've had my share of disappointments with Disney. I've noticed more and more that they're just doing a movie for the money, not to have a lesson learned or... yeah, a good moral to teach your children. Lately they haven't succeeded my expectations and they've just disappointed me al together so for a while I stopped watching Disney because I was tired of being disappointed of a company that practically raised me...

Then this movie popped up on my radar and I watched the trailer, american version.... I thought they were going to do another movie where they concentrate too much on the comedy and screw the story, like they did with Pirates of the Caribbean 2. But then I watched the japanese trailer and DAMN! That trailer made me shiver. I was intrigued to see the movie thanks to that trailer! That trailer was awsome! After that I was stuck on the movie, I listened to the music, I watched clips from it.... I was hooked and I just wanted to know more on how the story would be and what they were doing with it!

.... I must stop watching the new Disney movies... Another disappointment... I'm getting so tired of this! What's happening to you Disney?

Ok, so what's the story? .. Freaky Friday. Yeah! It's Freaky Friday! From the trailer and the beginning the narrator talks about fate and how she wants to change it and the movie is called BRAVE and... You're doing a Freaky Friday story..... *dies of disappointment* ......... OK, I'm back!
So it begins with our main character, the princess, is getting married. But she doesn't want to get married. She wants to be free and have an adventure, to go out and do whatever she wants! So she goes to a witch in the forest and asks for a spell that would change her fate. "Change my mum! That would change my fate right?" ... What?! You could've..... You could've gone SO far with this! Another fate! Another world! Start off with the cliché and then go for another thing in the end, something compeletly different! Do something with this!! No... We get Freaky Friday ><!!! So yeah, after this..... Her mother change into a bear. ... what..? And after that they're just learning from each other and of course they learn something about the world around them as well... It's Freaky Friday meets Brother Bear ><! Haven't you gone further from that?! ... Apparently not.

The things that are good, because I actually liked a lot before the story ruined everything! The animation is great of course! At least there they are improving. So it was really nice to look at... But really.. I just rather watch How to train your Dragon because it's the same animation and a better story.
The music is FANTASTIC! Check out the Soundtrack because it's really beautiful!

The witch I liked! I thought they were gonna go for a really comedian witch and screw the character. But no! They went for a really beliveable side to her and she was really funny to watch!
So was the princesses father! He was hillarious! And I really loved him! They didn't went too far with this character like they could have. I was so satisfied with that character! And it made sense that the princess would want to be a free spirit because her father was a free spirit and she looked up to him.
Her brothers were really enjoyable too. Once again, I thought they were going to go too far with these character too, but... At one point they do, but they're not in the movie for that long so that's fine. Most of the characters were really funny to watch......... They're just in the beginning and the ending... The rest of the movie focuses on the princess and the mother.

The mother is terrible! I'm sorry, I did not like her! She was just stereotypic! They wanted a mother that didn't listen and were just demanding and..... Yeah, that's it! She doesn't listen and she's demanding but the WORST part is... In the end SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!! she doesn't learn anything! It's just the princess that learns a lesson and not the mother! So in the end she's still probably demanding and doesn't listen because she doesn't learn anything! I HATE THAT!!

I'm gonne be quick here because I have a time limit so I'm just gonna talk about another thing that bothered me... The pacing of this movie was HORRIBLE! It went through too fast, and there was just two scenes in the whole movie that took it's time and it was in the beginning before the princess meets the witch and at the ending when you have the little cry scene. And it was really annoying! It went really fast so you werent really allowed to take in the beautiful sets or to glance over the character when they interacted with each other! It just passed through really fast, if you blinked you probably would've missed it.

So to sum up... The things that was really bad about this movie were just three things. The story, the mother and the pacing. That's it! And apperantly that's all you need to destroy a movie! You have to think about the story first! And role with it! Think about what you've done before, how you can improve something you've already done and if you can bring something new in a well way... If you can't? It's just a waste of time, energy and money! THINK PEOPLE, THINK!

So that's my disappointment of Brave! .... I'm never gonna trust a commersial from Japan again... They make it too great -.-

The three Musketeers

... I didn't like it.

I've seen many The three Musketeers even the Barbie one and it's embarrassing to confess that The Three Musketeers was WORSE than the Barbie one!

I'm talking about the one with the Orlando Bloom in it and I happen to like Orlando Bloom so that's not why I didn't like it! So let's move on!

There's really no reason to explain the story because you all know it. Some person working closely to the king wants more power so he's scheming to achive that goal and so on and so on... I have no idea how his plan to achive power works so don't ask me! I wasn't really paying attention to it because to me, it didn't really matter. So the movie is much about the three musketeers have broken down and trying to find their way back to the justice and everything.... Well... As much justice as the musketeers could give being so impatient and rebellious. Oh well! Little story, many flaws so let's move on!

I'm gonna start with the things I did like. The acting was pretty good. And the casting was good too. I liked seeing the people interact with each other... OK, I didn't like the King... But still, the actor who played him did well. I saw what they were going for and they successed with the very scene he was in because they had cast that person perfectly. So yeah, the acting was good and the casting.

The other thing I did like was the music. When the movie opened I thought I was going to have another experience like I had with TRON Legacy. But no, the music wasn't THAT awsome but never the less.. It was still pretty good and suited well with the theme.

Ok, now move on to the things I didn't like... Which one do you want to hear first? The biggest one? Ok!

It's actually two big things and both of them have to do with the style. I don't like that this movie has been told A MILLION times.. When this came out I was really sceptic to another Three Musketeers movie because... How can they do another version of this? Everybody has done it allready so stop it! Yet, I think it came at the same time as the Sherlock Holmes movie and that movie I liked. So I wanted to see this to see if they could do something diffirent like that movie did.... No. They don't. The style, characters, story, EVERYTHING has already been done in a MILLION movies involving the Three Musketeers. Why was this movie made, lots of money put into a story we've already heard SO many times -.-? Seems like a waste of time and money.... Oh well!

The other big thing was the humor... Damn this humor -.-! It feels like the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie where they were taking too much concentration to the humor and forgot everything else! They should be writing a adventure but the comedy came in the way... So the comedy was EVERYWHERE and it was childish and... It just made me sigh and not laugh and I was quickly bored by the movie just because of all the laughter they were trying to pull out of me.

So there's the two big things I didn't like... It pretty much sums up why I don't like it. It's done and tries too much.
Now I'm going to talk about the ending so... SPOILERS!

SPOILERS!!
The ending is... I have no idea... It just shows that this movie was unenesessary... To my part! Nothing really changes from the beginning of the movie.. The evil man isn't brought to justice, the king is still a brat and the people haven't been freed from an unjustice world. Nothing was accomplished! The only thing that were was the four people coming together and fight for another day. Nothing else changes. And it's pretty frustrating! Isn't the meaning of showing a piece of someones life that the person accomplished SOMETHING in that time period? Isn't that the meaning of showing it, or telling it? Have I missed something o.O?

I don't recomend this movie. I recomend the Barbie version instead of this! o.o ... That's bad. But the movie is good, so you shuold look into it. For a Barbie movie.. It's more than I expected. So.. yeah... I'm out...

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 - On stranger Tides

I can't really talk about this movie unless I mention what I thought of the other movies.. But I'm gonna keep it short.

The first movie.. LOVED IT! It was SO good and I remember that it brought back the pirates and EVERYBODY was talking about this movie and the characters and everything in it! It was SO good! I've lost count on how many times I've seen it and heard about it.

The second movie... Damn! They really lost it here. I don't remember much of it because I've only seen it once and that was enough! The comedy took over and it was nothing but jokes through the whole movie and that was really painful to watch because it's not a comedy! It's an adventure movie! So knock it off!

The third movie... I remember everyone said in the papers that this was going to be the next "Lord of the Rigs" .. So of course they were going to do a third movie... Of course they brought up a fellowship then! After I saw this I could point out SO many things that were in the Lord of the Rings that they had stolen! .. or borrowed! .. Either way I didn't like it. This movie only left me with ONE good scene that was enough that I watched it twice. And it had some good jokes here and there and the CGI looked nice at times.

Now we got the fourth movie.......

Can I please erase this movie from my memory? Please dear God, let me forget this movie ever exist?
... Yeah, this is going to be a negative review and if you REALLY love this movie and can't handle another persons oppinion... Go away! For the rest of you... I'm gonna try to be fair to the movie, but it's probably going to be really hard since I'm very disgusted by this movie. With that said, let's summorize the story.

The plot in short is that Jack wants to find the Fontain of Youth so he comes across Blackbeard and his daughter. He has to cooperate with them to find the Fontain of Youth and they have to cooperate with him... for the exact same reason. Yeah, these movies don't really explain how they come to certain solutions. At least not what I've noticed. But as what I can coprihate is that Jack knows the way to the Fontain of Youth and that's why Blackbeard cooperates with him and Jack needs a ship and that's why he cooperates with Blackbeard. Something like that. So on their way they come across the England crew and the Spanish crew that are also in it for the Fontain of youth.... So there is three crews that are looking for this one thing.... This is going to be needlessly complicated. Oh! And there's a romance in there... Ok, two, one with Jack and one with a guy that they met on Blackbeards ship... And that romance is only revealed in the mittle of the movie. And that's pretty much the story. Three crews are looking for the Fontain of youth and we follow their path to equir it. ... That's it! Next step!

So what did I think what was good with this movie... Actually I found two things I liked. I liked the lighting. It was REALLY nice and it helped feel the mood in every scene. Also the colors really poped with this lightning and it was SO good so thank you guy who did the lighting! If I ever make a movie, I will call you!

The other thing was the mermaids. I know people really like these mermaids but... Yeah! They're really good! The design of them is... OK. I'm going to be fair, they were a little stupid, but yeah, I kind of liked them anyway. The lightning really helped and the fact that they looked wet all the time! I've seen some mermaids that are dry the minute they're out in clean air. So I really liked that they were wet all the time. Second, I loved how innocent they looked before they became these evil, hungry monsters and they were really beautiful actually... At least I thought so! The song the first mermaid sings stuck with me very long and that scene was FABULUS! The mood was set SO well and it looked great and I was really hooked by it! So yeah, that scene was great! What I didn't like about them was when they turned into the hungry monsters.... Hear me out on this. The design was silly because I thought about this: They were mermaids who got bitten by a spider and a vampire.... Doesn't that sound silly? How I got to this conclusion: They had teeth like vampires (If you're going to make a monster mermaid, why not look at predator fishes? Like sharks or piranha?) and they could shoot seaweed out of their arms! .... That's silly. But other than that it was great!

The things I didn't like? ... Everything else? Ok, to be short I'm gonna say that the things I didn't like was how much they did the first movie again, or destroyed it like HELL! So now I'm probably gonna do some spoilers so... Be careful because they're coming now! Ok! So you can really play the first movie bit by bit except for a few things that was even worsely(is that even a word?) done here than in the first movie! First of, the reveal of Jack Sparrow isn't anything groundbreaking! It's like: Yeah! You know what he looks like by now so we're not going to bother with a big reveal! We give him a giant wig and some white beard and disguise him as a judge and you'll still be able to spot him by the way we are shooting! Isn't that fun? ....... Is the pirate who tricked Will Turner into coming with him to capture the Black Pearl without ANY disguise what so ever, disguising himself as a judge to free another man from hanging? ... Is the same man who dodge a hanging  himself without any disguise really disguising himself as a judge?! ... You've really lost it on who Jack Sparrow was in the first movie right? Oh, well... They at least try to connect him with the first movie since they have him REPEAT the lines from the first movie!! I'm not even kidding! The first half is pretty much made up by the first script! He says SO many lines that he said in the first movie but they did not connect as well as they did then! Here they really sound out on what lines they have stolen as to say: Do you remember this line from the first movie? ... YES! I do! So can you please leave them to that movie so that I can't quote them to THIS movie! .. Does that make sense? No? Good! Then you have some sense!

SPOILERS
And also... Why is Jack blond in the first half of the movie? .. Does he have time to dye his hair? Does he really have the money to dye his hair? Could you really dye your hair in that time period?! Oh well! So yeah, Jack is a repeatment of the first movie, do you want to talk about someone who's not? .. Are you sure you're ready for that? Really? This hurt me.. Real bad. Everytime this person cam to the screen I cried because it was so bad! ... Barbossa. They killed him. They brought him back to life so they could slaughter his whole existant in a slow and painful death and we had to watch them do it! .. I can NOT watch the first movie and have some dignity for Barbossa while the memory of this movie is still in my brain! They killed him for me! ... MAJOR SPOILERS now... Barbossa have joined in to the English crew and are now working for the King and are the leader for the crew and he is leading them to the Fontain of the Youth. .... Can you believe that? The captain that was so scary in the first movie, the man who really was a pirate and stole jeweles from pretty ladies and went all out of his way to have the biggest treasure in the world not caring of the course it brought with it! This man who lured so many, killed his own crew to proove a point... This same man... is working for the King, in an honest way. Not killing or stealing anyone/anything. ... They destroyed him. ... Please God, let me forget this horrible crime of making Barbossa into an honest man? Yeah, he's really doing this undercover to take Blackbeard but.. He didn't need to. He didn't need to... *cries*

SPOILERS
Oh! And while we're on the subject of destroying the dignity of something.. Let's disguss the Black Pearl.... Damn what a horrible fate she suffered. The fearsome ship that had black sails and a crew black as night that didn't leave any survivors and were like a ghostship that swooped in, took what she needed and vanished into the fog... She sank! End of story!

And to you who thought this was only going to be a Jack Sparrow story? HAH! Jokes on you! Since Orlando and Kieara said since the second movie that they didn't want to do any more Pirates of the Caribbean they had to work in another love story! It's between the guy who is very religous (they don't make him as annoying as they could have so that's great!) and one of the mermaids! And really.. I had no problem with this. It was a story that I had heard before, but it was such a long time ago that I wouldn't mind see it again with this modern technology. The mermaids was the only thing I liked so to see this story again with those kinds of mermaids and that lightning and those colors... Damn I would be so satisfied... But no, we get a fourth movie with the title Pirates of the Caribbean because the fans really wanted to see more Jack Sparrow... Go see the first movie again then o.o He is still there if you see it again, I promise! So can you please leave the movie makers alone so they can devote their energy into making a piece of art instead of just a "request for the fans" because it doesn't turn out well then ><!

So yeah... I really didn't like this movie. It hurt me. Physically and psycological! I don't want to remember I saw it! It was THAT bad! So now I'm gonna devote my time to get it out of me!
Have a good day! Bye!

Inu x Boku SS

Here's another anime.... Bear with it!
It's twelve episodes so if you're interested.

The story is... Interesting. It satters around a bunch of magical creatures and in their fun way they tell us about these creatures that we come across. However when I'm watching something for the first time I don't really read these long texts and stuff so I have no clue about these creatures but that didn't suck me out of the story. It's mostly the typical thing where a girl that wants to be alone and grow up on her own find that people around her is much more fun to be with than just being on your own. We spend the first ten episodes learning about those characters. Nothing more than just character studying... Sounds boring? It isn't! These characters were really funny and they worked off each other very well and I personally wanted to see more of those characters just having fun. It felt like when you're with your wierd friends and you're just sitting around saying nothing, but enjoying every moment because their actions were so much fun. That's what it was in the first ten episodes. I won't spoil the last episodes for those of you who haven't seen this yet but I can at least say this: At first I thought I was going to be disappointed with the ending. I was really sceptical and thought this was going to be one of those animes that tries to have a story in the beginning but then, we were just having so much fun so the story doesn't matter anymore! But no! They really tie everything together and I was pleased with every single thing this anime gave me. It didn't disappoint me one bit. This also gives you a hint of balance since the main character and the love interest help each other to get stronger and together they can grow into strong people. That is so awsome to come from an anime like this!

I guess I should talk about the things I disliked about this but... So far I can't come up with anything! It probably have some problems but I'm just so damn in love with this anime right now that I can't see it's flaws so... Congratulations anime! You really succeeded! *claps hands*

So the good stuff... I will be really quick, I won't mention everything. But yeah, the characters were great! Event though you didn't get a backstory of everybody it really fits. The're are sidecharacters and not everybody is a main character that I've seen in some other animes that looks like this. The focus is still the main character and the love interest. But you still want to enjoy everyother character that this anime present....... Well, most of them. It's probably just my persobal oppinion but one of the characters was just... He irritated the shit out of me! Luckily he just shows up in like three episodes and he's not very long in them so... Lucky me! This anime is listening to me!

The music... I can't really remember the music so it musn't have been too horrible but nothing spectacular. So it doesn't stand out too much and it definitly doesn't drag you out of the moment so it's good enough.

The animation... Damn this animation. It was SO beautiful! The colors and the design of the characters and the whole animation... It was really well done and I'm picky with my animes must be well drawn or otherwise I can't concentrate on the story. This animation really fitted with the story and the type it was going for, in my oppinion so eberything really worked!

Now I'm gonna talk about the ending so... Yeah! Lots of love for this anime and I think you should definitly go see it and get your own oppinion about it!
The last three episodes we take a deeper look into the main character and her "bodyguard" (who are suppose to build up a romance between each other) and see their bakstory and much more on how they came to know each other and.. It's really well done and it's so interesting that you feel really emotional between these two. I haven't heard this veration of this story before, I've heard parts of it, but never a whole story that was like this... Or if I have I don't remember it.

And... I don't think I want to talk about that more. I don't want to spoil to much for you because it was a really nice surprize that this was in there. But it's so good that it deserved a mention of it. I haven't read the manga on this but with me loving this anime so much I don't think I want to. It feels like it would spoil the anime for me if I realize how much of it actually was changed around and stuff. But anyway! I think I've talked about how much this was great long enough so.... Yeah, go see it! ... Not in english dub though... I'm sorry but the english dub on the japanese movies are horrible. See it with english subtitle and you'll get everything much better. Also the voices mach their characters very well in the japanese version. Enjoy!

One Day

Ok, I've watched three movies in three days now and I'm starting to get frustrated because I didn't like any of them! Althuogh this is the only one I could properly talk about so... Here it is!

I was searching for new movies to watch and came across a movie that was called One Day. I saw that Anne Hathaway was going to be in it so I got hyped. So I read a little on what it was about got about... "Two people met at 15th July 1988 and decided to go on a date but stayed friends..." after that I stopped reading and watched it instead.... I wish I had read further because I have no idea what this movie was about.

I can't even summon the movie since I don't quite understand it. At first I thought it was going to be: we follow their development through every year on the same day... Well, yeah, just not every year.... OK, so the movie want to show how much everything changes in a couple of years? ... Well, sort of, it's more the cultural that changes than the people. Do we at least get development in their relationship? ... Well, no not at all.
So I'm really confused on what this movie wanted to do with this story. If you want a better summary on the story you can search more on google. I'm confused and I'm gonna tell you why.

The edeting in this movie helped with that confusion. In the beginning it felt like they didn't really cared on what was going on a year after they showed us a clip of their life. So we were given one clip and then when it's not really ended they cut to another year.... It was just one scene that wasn't even finished! But hey, that's not important! It's just filler because we need to get it into a 2 hour long movie! ... There was even a scene in like 5 seconds that represented one year and you only saw Anne Hathaway swimming.... "This has been another: pointless moment." So yeah, the editing was really distracting.

I said that the character didn't develope either. That's because they don't really have a personality. They have actions, but they lack motivation for their actions, or emotions all together. They show anger and sadness but when the movie tries to show when a character is in love.... They smile right? They kiss each other? Yeah! There's nothing more than that! They smile so smile a lot and act in love! ... Yeah... continue to think that and you'll be spinning on a pink cloud round and round in a circle too.

So the things I didn't like was the story, the characters and the editing... Is there something I liked? No! I couldn't even appritiate the acting because the characters weren't given any personalities! It was just what the movie wanted them to act and followed that... Motivation? Know what that is? You don't need to spell it right just understanding the word is enough. I got so bored with this movie that in the last hour I checked how much time it was left every ten minute! It was really boring and it felt like the movie was done two hours ago! So it felt really long, it was boring and I don't understand it. I don't know if it was written as a book before the movie but as a movie... It doesn't work.

So I don't recomend this movie... It wants to show something but it doesn't work at all. Hope the fourth movie I see I'll like.

TRON Legacy

I'm guessing this is a continueing story of the movie TRON but I'm not really sure. I haven't seen the first movie so I can't really talk about that. What I can talk about is the movie I actually saw and that was TRON Legacy!

I heard that this movie was supposed to be bad and... I think I can understand why people think that but honestly, I liked it. It isn't an awsome movie that gave me shivers like other movies and I saw some flawes in it, but.. Even so, I think I'm gonna see it again! Why? .... I don't know but continue to read if you want to know. Although there is where I have my spoilers so read my summary of the story first and see if you'll like it or not and then you can decide if you want to watch it or not. Ok! So let's begin!

Here comes the summary of the story:
The story is REALLY simple. Find the lost dad and when you've find him, try to get home. It's nothing really complicated in the story, the only complicated thing is the world this movie have created. I kind of see something like I, Robot in this, although that movie was much better. So here I'm gonna explain from the beginning. It starts of with a father telling a story for his son, and the way I figure it's the plot of the first TRON movie. And that's pretty clever to do it like that. I who haven't seen that movie followed the story pretty well thanks to that... I think.. If you want to know that story, read the summary of Disney's TRON on IMDb. So soon after telling that story the father disappears, no one knows where he is, for 20 years! So the son has grown up to a punk, rebellious kid.... He's 27 but is still called a kid.... OK. But then he gets a message to come down to his fathers office and what does he find there? An old computer that takes him to the digital world his father spoke of in his story. And here's when the movie really lights up! .. Litteraly! It's neon lights EVERYWHERE! The kid, named Sam, goes through a survival test and sort of... Loses. But since he is a user, not a program, he gets special treatment and is presented to his father.... 's clone! In the previous movie his father created a clone to help him and a program named Tron to help the world. The clone is named Clue and he's still trying to go for the reason he was created. To create the perfect world. Although, for that to happen he has to take away the program's free will get rid of the users who opose him and... yeah, you can imagine where I get the I, Robot from. So Sam finally finds his dad and he have to convince his father to come home with him. You see... There is another complication. Since the father is the creater of the world his disk (there are special disks that records every movement and thoughts of what you do in this world.. If I understood that correctly) Anyway! His disk is the key to the portal that can transport Clue to the real world! That's why the father don't want to go with Sam because that would mean that Clue would have a better chance on getting that disc and take control over the real world. Ans that's pretty much all you need to know. The storyline is simple, but the world they created is not so that's a good balance to it. I think I understood it... most of it. But this is my interpretation.

I'm gonna start with saying what I think was bad in this movie and I think I'm starting with the short one. The title... I won't pick on the first movie since I haven't seen it! But... Why is it called "TRON"? He is mentioned like... Two times in the movie and that's in the last 30 minutes! And this movie is 2 hours long! It probably is a sequal... Or a remake... Or something! But that movie was made in 1982! This movie came out 2010! You are allowed to changed the title efter so much time. Especially since the carachter the title stands for... Isn't really in there! I think the title would be more like "The Grid", that's the name of the digital world. And you can continue that title! "The Grid - The legacy of TRON" or something like that! But yeah, it's a smaller thing that isn't THAT much of a bother. So let's move on!

The other thing that bugged me was the acting in this movie... Everyone seemed very stiff. No one talked naturally. It seemed like everyone was just reading a manuscript instead of having an actual conversation. I can understand the father for being stiff since his life really is upside down and nothing is like it was for him, but for Sam and Clue to be stiff? Come on! These are the characters that are supposed to have life! Sam is a rebellious kid who is 27 years old and is pretty smart! He shouldn't be stiff when he comes to another world! It was OK in the beginningbecause I'm guessing he was kind of shocked for showing up in a glowing city with glowing people who talked like robots! But... He was pretty stiff through the whole movie... And the actor who played Clue... It felt like he was holding back SO MUCH! I have no idea why... It felt like he had so much energy but was nervoud and couldn't really let go? I don't know... So.. The acting.. I wasn't a fan of it, sorry.

Now I'm gonna talk about the good stuff and saving the best for last. So what I'm beginning with is that this movie didn't seem rushed! It started out REALLY slow and I had a hard time to get into it, but in the middle I was really hooked up and I didn't want anything to disturb me! So yeah, slow in the beginning but kept my interest. And because it was such a simple storyline the movie could take it's time to explain everything that was going on. So yeah, that was really good! No rush! Great!

The other good thing was the colors... I REALLY liked these colors! For the "heroes" and neutral programers they kept them in a light blue/white neon light and for the "bad guys" they had a orange/red neon light. I really liked that! And that was the color of most parts of the movie. Mixed with black! And it looked great! For Clue however they gave him a yellow neon light and the first outfit he appears with... I WANT THAT! Oh well! So that was really nice to see! The colors where thing that attracted me to the movie and... Yeah! I really liked them! I was not disappointed with the colors!

I'm going to talk about the thing that was most awsome in this movie and then I'm talking about the ending for last! Is that Ok? ... Hope you didn't disagree with me there because that's what I'm doing.
In some point I shouted this to the TV screen: "Music, can you stop being so awsome?! I'm trying to concentrate on the story!" The music was so great that I ended up only listening to the music instead of the dialogue! ... Not good. But the music was really great! I think it belonged in this movie, the music didn't seemed forced in and it felt like... The composer was doing what he liked but also did it to a movie where it belonged! So that was really great! At some point I whished this movie could be a silent film because I really liked the music and the visual but not the dialogue. But I probably wouldn't get much of the story if they did that.

Now I'm gonna talk about the last thing... The ending. It felt like... Not rushed but it seemed like they forgot some things. It felt like they were saving things for a second movie. Like, in some point they say that TRON is alive but has been reprogramed into being Clue's soldier... And near the end... He becomes a good guy again... Not really sure why or how it happened but it happened! And... They leave him at the bottom of a big ocean with his neon lights just switching to blue/white. After that we see Clue interact with the father and asking if he did something wrong (it sounds better than it was because the acting here was really bad) he did what he was supposed to do, create a better world. And then we see the father sending his son back to the real world and destroying Clue and just as Sam gets back to real world the father makes all the lights from the Grid disappear... And that's it! ... Wait what? What happened with Tron? Did he die in that water? Can he swim? He's a program! I don't know. And what happened to the Grid? Did the father make it better? Did he give the free will back? Did he save the other programs from slavery? Or was the programers lost beoynd help and tried to resist? Still under Clue's grasp? I don't know! It just ends there! And it doesn't really stop, we see Sam interact with other people saying that he's more grown up and we end on him taking a ride on his bike, showing the real world to a... advanced program (I don't remember what she was but something like that). So yeah... It feels like they were saving some things for a second movie, but I don't know if that'll ever be. Well, maybe... It took 28 years to do a sequal so maybe the next sequal will come out in another 28 years? Don't know! Can't really see into the future.

But yeah, all together.. It has some good things in it and some bad things so it isn't an awsome movie and it has flawes but.. I still like it! Mostly because of the visuals and the music! Have to get the soundtrack it was that awsome! Hope you got a little help with this review and... Continue to read my stuff! Please! Bye!

The Darkest Hour

Ehum... Was this meant to be taking seriously o.O? Oh well! It feels like this movie was made because they just wanted to do cool stuff and see annoying people die.

... I didn't like it, but the effects were nice!

The story is about... I want to say a guy but the story is about nice effects so, the story STARTS with four people who meets coincidentally at a party in a foreign country and they're having a good time and they decide that they're gonna take a picture of the fun moment to their blog. 1. 2. 3. KLICK... Black out! The lightning in the whole city turns off and they think it's just a black out... Until they go outside and they see some sort of yellow Northern Lights. Then some kind of yellow electric balls that reminded me of jellyfish comes down to the ground and as soon as they touch the ground they turn invisible. A cop walkes towards the invisible jellyfish and is about to touch it with his baton when he suddenly is turned to dust! Panic! And everybody is running around afraid and you get really sucked in to the rush and I felt the panic to just get out of there.... but I wouldn't go inside a house to seek cover.... Oh well! The four people in the beginning survives the attack however together with a jerk and the rest of the movie is just see them running around and admire some good effects.

This was a Action pact Science Fiction and that says a lot. This is why I don't like action: Their characters have no personality, they're just there to help with the explosions and killing. I like movies that have their characters well developed and actually serve a more purpos than to fire guns! So that's the most reason I didn't like it. The parts where we didn't see the invisible jellyfishes were really boring and I was just waiting to see the action, counting the movie to end (and I really didn't like the ending) so that wasn't entertaining at all.

The effects however was really good and I like the idea of electrisoty hungry aliens and they were really nice done! The scenes with those were really creepy and they were really unpredictable! I had no idea what to expect from them and it was really scary.

Also they do explain, even though it was fast and you have to pay attention to it, but they explain it! .... I should tell you what they explain... Well, they explain what the creatures are and why they can't see them or if they see or hear humans and stuff like that. They go by things they know from the human world so they can't figure out where they came from or any of those things. But you get pretty much explained and I liked that.... However.. It was the guy who didn't attend to school that said all these things. It was the poor partyboy (or what ever you want to call him) who explained what they are and how they function.... Not his friend who really was smart! ... That bugged me..

About the ending.... If you haven't guessed yet.. SPOILERS!!!
I didn't like this ending because it went too fast. It felt like: "We have no idea how to make this a happy ending but... We got to have a happy ending! .. Somehow! We'll work it out!" Their sulution wasn't good at all. But that's how I feel about most action movies.. MOST OF THEM! So you can understand why since it's a movie that just concentrate on the action, if the action isn't happening... It's done! When I saw the credits I was like: "That's it? What? ... Nothing more? ... What kind of bad ending is that?!" So that wasn't pleasent either.

So the only thing that was good about this movie was the "aliens" jellyfishes and... It wasn't enough to get me to like it... I like my characters to be humans! Not screamy fire happy hamsters! But if you like that sort of thing, check it out! The effects are good so.. Watch it for that XD
Bye for now!

War Horse

"This movie is so great! You have to see it! It's breath taking and you'll love it!"
... Which movie did this person see? I heard from people that this movie was going to be great and fantastastic and new and... I WAS BORED!

This is going to be a negative review of the "great" movie War Horse, made by Steven Spielberg so if you don't want to know why I think this and are just angry with me and if you're just going to insult my way of watching a movie... Go away!
However, if you are curious of why I think it was boring, or if you haven't seen the movie and want another oppinion than "it was fantastic!" please continue the reading and I'm not going to insult anyone who likes it, so please don't insult me for disliking it! It's just an oppinion!

So what I'm gonna do now is explain the story like I always do. It's easier to decide if you who haven't seen it will like it or not so, have your own oppinion first!

OK! The story... It's pretty much Black Beauty in a war zone. When I first heard about "War Horse" and saw the poster for it... I didn't read the plot for it then. What was going through my mind was like a war but from the horse's point of view! Now, I thought that would be boring at first... But then my mind started to continue this theory of plot and I saw like dark places with goneshots and explosions and you saw the horse's struggle to keep him alive and his rider. But then the rider dies and a emotionfilled scene is playing (slow motion of course) and then the horse is instead trying to get away from the war instead of listening to his rider who are just trying to get him to go forward and I saw so much emotions and if it was done right you would just feel the struggle and panic the horse felt and just try to survive a war.. I'm explaining it pretty bad right now because I'm just trying to summarize it. But I was just feeling emotional by thinking it..... What do I get? ... A MESS! I'm sorry but this was just a mess! So the movie starts of with the horse getting born and it starts off like your typical horse movie. A boy comes attatched to it and they grow strong together and stuff like that (remind you of something?). But then they have to sell the horse because they need the money. So the army comes along and are looking for horses to have in the battle (or something like that) Anyway! They sell the horse to the army and of course the horse is the best. Then we get one short battle and they loose this battle and the horse is taken into german custody. And... It's just a army movie after that! The horse is forgotten in half the movie... Ok, more than half of the movie and we just concentrate on the war and battles and meow! So we see the horse get tossed around owners and we follow some army guys have battles and just boring stuff. And in the middle of the movie the horse is like panicing and becomes Robot Unicorn! ... Not really, but it felt like it! The horse got tangled in some barbed wire and kept running, it got tangled in more barbed wire and it keeps running, it got tangled in more barbed wire AND some obsticles and STILL keeps running! But then the obsticals get stuck on some fence and then finally the horse falls and is lying there! So yeah, there is a calm scene where an english man and a german man is helping the horse free from the barbed wire and they're just talking like they were neighboors or something. And then the horse finally meets the boy who raised him in the beginning and The End! ..... Not really, there were some difficulties in the end but I just sighed and turned it off... I didn't even see the end! It was that boring!

So let me tell you why I didn't like it XD I haven't done that yet.... Even if it may show a little from that summary but I'm gonna tell you why now! And... It just felt like this movie was trying hard to appeal to everyone! Why it was a mess was because it went like a ping pong boll between two genres! "Don't like horses? We got world war battle for you! Don't like war movies? We got horses you can look at! Oh, you who don't like horses, don't worry! We won't hold the shot at them for long! You who want to look at the horses, you see them a little more than usual! We are satisfying everyone! XD" .... FAIL!!! Keep it to one genre!!! And if you are going with a Black Beauty story do it like them and concentrate on the EMOTION of the horse!!!! Not the humans! You can't have both! "War horse" is an appropriate   title since it was a war with a horse! I wanted to see horse in a war ><! Oh well! But I could've been impressed if I wasn't so irritated with how it was done!

The first half was really boring and it was the time when the boy and the horse was bonding! And it was boring! The guy who played Albert.. I didn't like his acting in this o.o I have no idea why but I didn't like it. And also Emeli (or how it's spelled -.-) I didn't like her acting either. It was too robotic and I liked more her character than the acting.... If that makes sense. Even though I don't like talking about how people act, I just had to say something here because here I really noticed how bad it was! But I'm not gonna say more about that XD

The editing in this movie was HORRIBLE!!! It distracted me from the story and I just saw how bad it was! And.,... No! I get so frustrated when I remember how it was edited! It was like in one shot it was cloudy, the next it was sunny (They cut to another angle in the same scene)! And in one shot you see all the horses running around from the gun shots... One shot later and everyone is dead! ..... How fast are the soldiers to kill horses o.O? Oh well! So you can gather that the editing was horrible! Also there was a LOT of pointless angles and scenes and shots! It was like the cameraman was new to the work and was trying to figure out the camera but someone liked the test shots for the camera so they worked it in! -.- There were A LOT of these "test shots" in the movie! And they drove me nuts!

Also... I don't think anyone introduced blood to this movie.... It's a war movie... without blood? .... Ok. At the first half the boy and the horse is learning how to plow to try to save their farm and they plow for days without rest...... Either the horse or the boy gets scars out of it! "You're as badly hurt as he is" ... Apparently not at all since no scar or blood are shown on any of you! And the scene where the horse is trapped in barbed wire.... No scars... Oh we do see them near the end, but it's when it is a close up! The only time I saw blood was when another horse was bleeding on it's knees and the ending and there was another time, but I can't remember it right now... Three times in a two and a half hour long movie!! What the Hell?!

So no, I did NOT like this movie (if you can't tell by now) and all I'm saying.... If you want to see a fantastic horse movie, see Black Beauty or Horse Whisperer! Those are better than this! And if you want to see a war movie.... I've heard Private Ryan is good... Go see that! Or some other movie I'm sure is better than this!

If you don't know how to combine a horse with war in a original way and don't make it look like a mess DON'T MAKE IT!

I'm not recomending this because it really drove me nuts with all the mistakes it made. And that's what I have to say!
Bye for now!

Rio

No surprise there.. Ok, there was a little surprise but that's probably because I didn't expect this story when I saw the poster. This was another that I avoided since I thought it was going to be bad and... I was half right! It wasn't bad it wasn't good it just.. have been made amillion times.

It is the same love story between animals that I've seen at least four times... that I can remember! There is this bird that gets captured and gets lost from his natural enviorment where he meets a human that takes care of him. One day a strange man comes to her door and wants her bird to mate since he is the last male of their spieces. So it's a typical love story, no surprices, not nothing. The villian just wants money and bla bla bla... Pretty boring..

But the colors were nice! They really captured the colors exactly right in this movie and it was always pleasant to look at. The characters were nothing interesting only cliché and also the dialoge were cliché. It was that line where something bad happens to the love interest and the guy says "It's all my fault"... They just had it here because it was a cliché. They don't say anything that no, it's not your fault. They just cut to the chase right after... They didn't need that line. So yeah...

I guess it's not bad because... Well, the colors do help with bringing the movie up a bit, and well.. The story is good it's just that it has been done a few times. So it wasn't really bad just "been done". You can check this movie out if you want, the humor can be a pain sometimes but some jokes can be entertaining. And that's pretty much it.

The Number 23

I intend to write about movies that I've only seen once. So what I'm writing here is my first opinion about a movie, my first impression. It can be a lot more interesting if you do that and things like that when the emotion is fresh inside you.
.. I'm not going to that this time. This time I'm gonna write about The number 23 which I saw for the second time today. The first time I saw about... one and a half year ago. All I remember is that I really liked it... and some scenes from it. I have no idea why I don't remember a movie that is really good. I still think it's really good! Maybe it is because I'm not really interested in Thrillers or Scary Movies... They're not really my thing. Anyway! I'm not gonna talk about why I don't remember it! I'm gonna talk about why it's good! First, you need to know the story. And I'm not gonna go spoilers in this post!

The story is about a man, played by Jim Carrey. (Jim Carrey is the reason I was introduced to this movie because I love him!) The man's wife is picking up a book from a bookstore because sadly the man was late to their meeting. The book is about another man's story who becomes obsessed about the number 23. As the Jim Carrey character (not gonna say the name here) continues to read he realizes that the man in the book has many things in common as himself. As the story continues you follow the Jim Carrey character as he becomes obsessed with the number 23. He realizes that everything leads to the number 23 and he starts to question if it's a coincident or if it has some hidden meaning to it. Although the people around him says that if you search for a number it will appear everywhere and the number isn't magical by itself but only if people give it some hidden meaning. Although the Jim Carrey character can't let go of his suspisions and has to figure out the meaning of 23.

I love that story.  It only has ONE problem, but it's a small one and it tries to create more suspision so... It can be overlooked. The acting.. Love it. Everyone in this movie tries their best and everyone wants to create a good thriller about an obsession. I love Jim Carrey so I can't really talk about his acting here, but it's NOT goofy as he usualy do (he can do differant rolls -.- Just watch The Majestic! I was really bored by it) but the other one did a good job too. I didn't think one time that the acting was bad. I was just really sucked in by the story so.. ... It's a good story! I like it.

The characters are interesting. There are few of them because the movie knows to hold the character list down to just the family and the people they accounter, which is not many. And it's mostly good put together. There are just a few things that are pretty small that can suck you out for a moment, but it's not huge so you can overlook it to my oppinion. But other than that the characters are all interesting.

Ehum... Don't know what to say more... I just want everyone to see this because.. I have no idea if people know about it or not. I didn't know about it until a friend showed it to me and said "You who like Jim Carrey..." so I just want to recomend it and tell everyone who read this that this movie exist and it's great!! So go see it!

(Also I'm gonna try to post two movie reviews every month... I don't know if I can hold it, but I'm gonna try! And I'm not setting like.. on satturdays, no! two reviews every month if I have the time, gonna at least try! So... One more review this month coming up! Bye!)

Oh damn o.o That's scary! I had no idea... that THIS was my 23rd post.... It was TOTAL coincident, I'm not joking! ... That's scary! It was posted 00:26 however so that's a relief... But still! OMG! ... Scary..
