Cats don't Dance

... I was scammed!

I didn't know about this movie until Doug Walker posted his "Movies I won't review". Well... I'm reviewing this for him! This movie was boring!! I didn't laugh any time in this movie! I giggled a few times, but there was FEW times I giggled. The jokes in the movie seemed to be around on how over the top it was drawn. Plus it had those joke where anyone who's big can move a house, makes earthquake when they walk and stuff like that. Very over the top and they used it over and over and over again! They had THREE characters that was like that! Most movies sets around one and that's ok.. But three big characters in ONE movie is too much! ... I'm really irritated about this film!! Can you notice ^^?

Well.. The story is about a cat that wants to go to hollywood. ... Do I need to explain the rest? You can guess from that what is going to happen! The cat wants to be big and figures he can succeed in Hollywood. Although when he arrives he discovers that the dream of becoming something huge in Hollywood is only for Humans. So you can guess, he comes across other animals that have tried to become great talents but are now broken down because it was a far away dream and bla bla bla... In the end he turns it all around. Surprised?

When I saw Doug Walkers clips from this I thought the animation was interesting. But after about... Maybe half an hour.. Perhaps less, I got tired of it. I didn't like the coloring, the background was anoying, I didn't like how they pretrayed some people and... Yeah, it wasn't very good. I got irritated of it, simply put. Also in the beginning the lines moves very quickly. It's like a ping pong boll between conversations. Also I couldn't make out all what they were saying. There were a lot of things I couldn't hear what they were saying because they mumbled the lines or said it with a squeky and shaky voice. I couldn't hear it. The only lines I could hear perfectly was the main character and Darla (she's a sweety, I'll get to her in the end).

So that was a disapointment. The thing that dragged me to the movie turned out to irritate me XD Yay! *sigh* But the characters where annoying also. The main character were ok, that little boy who dreams about something and does everything to make it come true. Nothing much to that. The rest of the cast were so irritating, and that's mostly how the jokes come around on how big they are. Also that I couldn't hear what they say.... So yeah, those things were really destracting and why shouldn't they? You can't enjoy a movie if the colors and animation is horrible and you can't even hear what they are saying! Can you?

Anyway, I should tell you what I liked because there were two things in this movie I actually enjoyed... The little pinguin was cute and well betrayed. Although I don't know what he was doing in the beginning o.O Was that a job? A hobby? Or.. Was he decorating the new house he didn't have? I don't know... Although I did enjoy the scene when he was stealing donuts. I saw the pinguin as a lost boys who finds his hero cat on the street and wants to be like him. They really catched that in his eyes and they didn't make any jokes about how little he was or make him SUPER cute. They petrayed him as a little boy in a pinguin costyme... Sort of.

The other thing I liked was Darla Dimple. I thought I would like her also and how can you not? Her smile is so evil and false and it works! She was really enjoyable to watch, but why did they have to show her panties everytime? Oh well! I liked her personality, I liked the way she was drawn and I even liked her voice! They choosed the perfect voice for that character and I think that was the only character they could find a good voice o.O I didn't like the other voice choice.

And that was it! That's what I liked. It didn't make me change my oppinion about it. I didn't like this movie, it was boring it was bad and it was BORING! So... I'm not recomending this movie, actually I'm advicing you to stay away from it! Maybe if you want to sleep this movie is a great sleeping pill! That's all!

Togainu no Chi

I know I'm kind of cheating here because it's an anime show, not a movie! But I feel I have to spread this anime because it's really good!
So you could guess I liked this one, huh XD? I don't have that much bad critic to say about it. It had something to say in the end so it wasn't made just because it's fun to scare people with bloody pictures, which it felt like some times.

The story is like.. Battle Royal gone wrong... If it hadn't already XD But instead of an Island they're in a city. And it doesn't say in the ruled that the oponent must die. He must be defeated in battle and the oponent must lie on his back for the winner to take his tags. The tags have pictures of cards on them and if you have a Royal Flush you get to fight for your freedom and money. And that's all you need to know about the story. There isn't much to it, but you could guess that there are a lot of things that is going wrong but I'm not gonna tell you them here ;P That's for you to discover when you watch the anime ^^ ... Or read the manga, your choice.

The animation is great! I loved it and it really fitted to the story (how it's animated usually takes a big part of what the person want to say with the movie or show, like the setting in the movies) But there was one thing that bothered me with the animation... They tilted the shots all the time! ... OK not all the time! But there where many shots that where slanted and I say like the Nostalgia Critic said about Battlefield Earth "Have the cameraman fallen asleep?!" It got very irritating in the beginning like some shots where rotated 90%! But it got better towards the end so that's good.

The music... I liked the music. It isn't the kind of music I would look for in the store like I have with other soundtracks, but still it fitted to the story and they were really trying to get it right! Unless another anime I watched recently where the music was all over the place! So it was nice to come back to a anime where they actually thought about the background sound XD

Ok... SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER! You haven't seen this anime yet can go and see it before you read the rest of the post XD

Atart off with one of the characters. This anime had some great characters! I felt like no one was kept in the dark and all of them where really interesting! And nicely looking too, if I may say so... Except for one..

Keisuke... I hated this character! He was so annoying! He was really a burdon to Akira! (And after watching the serie I really hate that name because Keisuke said it over and over and over and over and OVER again! It got really irritated) He doesn't do anything that Akira says! Akira wants to protect him so he tells him not to go to Toshima (He really explains that he have to fight to clear his name and it's really dangerous.) What does Keisuke do? He goes to Toshima to protect Akira -.- What was he thinking with? He watched Akira fight, he knew he could take care of himself, yet he, who has never fought before (on screen anyway) thinks that he can protect him from his everyday life? ... Yeah.. Also, Akira told him not to take Line and yet he does it! What the hell is that man thinking with? I'm sorry, but I was happy when Keisuke died, I'm sorry! All I could think about was "Great! Now he won't get in the way for Akira anymore!" And yet the anime tried so hard for me to shed a tear for him XD The music was right! The mood was right, they even made it rain! They tried so hard for me to cry for the person and it was a good atempt! But it didn't work.

The last episode... It feels like I must've got a bad copy because the edeting in it was... Through the whole show they showed battles and blood shed and everything, but in the last episode after they took their swords they cut to pictures of the city and just played the sound o.O What the hell?! Did they think that we got tired of watching blood shed after watching 11 episodes that they thought "Nah! It's too bloody now! Show the pictures of buildings instead!" ... Hello! I mean it's the battle we've been waiting for! Akira vs. Shiki, the swords are up, Akira is mad and he's running towards Shiki. Oh! Look! A building! Wait! Concentrate on the fight! Now Rin has stopped Shiki and is pushed to the ground and... BUILDINGS! That was really, really irritating! But other than that the show was great! Don't know what to say about the ending but.. I guess I liked it. It wasn't a "they lived happily ever after" ending and that was great! Akira moves on to live like a dubble life and he says that no matter how hard you want to you can't forget your past. And that was fitting to the story. I don't think Akira could live a happy life after going through all that he has been going through! No way! So it was great to see that they hadn't planned that for him in the end. Great job!

Speeches from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I'm a big fan of Buffy the vampire slayer, love every minute of it and I never get tired of it. This is a list on my favorite speeches on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There are a lot of speeches in the series, but there are few that stands out from the crowd and either bring you to tears or fill your heart with hope to continue fighting. Here are my favorites and why I like them, so you could probably guess that this is going to be a long post! … Hopefully I won't bore you XD

Season 1
“You missed one ball and the whole game was your fault? What, you were the only one playing? There wasn't eight other people on your team?”

Well, no this isn't a favorite speech.. But it was all that I could find in the first season. So obviously it has got to be on the list :P After all, this is speeches for every season. And that speech is true anyway so, better to mention it than not at all... Next season!

Season 2
“Passion. It lies in all of us, sleeping, waiting. And though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir, open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us, guides us. Passion rules us all and we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments: the joy of love, the clarity of hatred, and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace, but we would be hollow: empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead.”

This is from the episode “Passion” where Angel kills Miss. Calender. He talks about passion and how it go through all of us, passion both burn and create and through this speech he makes it very clear what passion is and what it does to us. And it's so beautiful XD It took me long enough to find this speech, I looked over the season three times before I found it. Cruel, I know because I love it so much, but I always had in my head that there would be another speech, that would fill me with a deeper feeling. I love when Spike tries to convince Buffy that he'll help her. But it's not really a speech. It's just two people talking really... So I couldn't put it in. So I'm glad that I finally found this one ^^

Season 3
“Look, lots of people lose themselves in love. It's no shame. They write songs about it. The hitch is, you can't stay lost. And sooner or later you have to get back to yourself.”
“And if you can't?”
“If you can't, well, love becomes your master, and you're just its dog.”

This season was most about love, I think.. It was about Faiths father relationship with the mayor, Buffys relationship with Angel, in the episode “Love's Walk” we found out Dru had left Spike. Also it was in this season where Willow and Xander found deeper feelings for each other than friendship. So there was really difficult to find a speech that wasn't about love XD I also thought of the speech Spike gives out to Buffy and Angel. Where he explains that they will never be friends. But this spoke to me more. It speaks to everyone. We all have been lost in love in some point and that's what makes this speech even more powerful than “you'll fight, and you'll shag until it kills you”. That's why I love this speech. The metaphor of being the dog to love is just wonderful. I absolutely love it.

Season 4
Faith: “You got a pair on you, Joyce. I like seein' that in a woman your age. Guess you can afford to talk that way. I mean in the world according to Joyce Buffy is gonna come crashing through that door any minute. But... look what I found. Buffy Summers. Buffy Summers. Buffy Summers. Buffy, Buffy... A lot of letters. She hasn't been by in a while, huh? And you'd think, with a crazy chick like me on the loose, crazy chick with a wicked grudge against her no less, she'd call and give you a heads up. But Buffy's too into her own deal to remember dear old Mom.”
Joyce: “You don't know the first thing about Buffy. Or me.”
Faith: “Don't I? I know what it's like. You think you matter, you think you're a part of something, and you get dumped. It's like the whole world is moving, but you're stuck. Like those animals in the tarpits. It's like you just keep sinking a little deeper every day, and nobody even sees.”
Joyce: “Where you planning to slit my throat any time soon?”
Faith: “Don't tell me you don't see it, Joyce. You've served your purpose. You squirted out the kid, raised her up, and now you might as well be dead! Nobody cares! Nobody remembers! Especially not Buffy, fabulous superhero. Sooner or later, you're gonna have to face it. She was over us a long time ago, Joyce. Too busy climbing onto her new boy toy to give a single thought to the people that matter! I mean you're her mother, and she just leaves you here to die!”

Here's another powerful speech where we all can sympathy with Faith. In her world, she is just a rock beside a mountain that is Buffy. In the third season we hear Faith say “I do my job better than anyone and who does everybody thank? Buffy.” In this speech in season four we get a little more on Faiths pain, what she's going through. I love it because.. It starts off gentle, where Faith compare her life to Joyces. Then it becomes more wild and her tone changes to lot of pain and that pain transforms into hate. The actor is doing a great job performing this speech and it's so wonderful to listen at. Great writing, great performance, what else can you expect from this show?

Season 5
“But I don't understand! I don't understand how this all happens, how we go through this. I mean, I knew her, and then she's... There's just a body. And I don't understand why she just can't get back in it and not be dead any more. It's stupid. It's mortal and stupid. And Xander's crying and not talking. And I was having fruit punch. And I thought... “Well, Joyce will never have any more fruit punch ever, and she'll never have eggs, or yawn or brush her hair, not ever.” And no one will explain to me why.”

Oh God... I cry every time I hear this speech. I get teary eyes just by thinking it XD Sorry, it's just.. This whole episode called “The body” scares me. It's unpleasant to look at, it gives me chills every time, so much that I can't watch it as many times as I've seen the other episodes... and it's a masterpiece! The absent of the music, the great performances, the camera shots, the sounds... Everything is so well thought, everything fits into the story, everything is perfect! That's why it scares me. This speech gives me so many feelings and it works so well. It's absolutely wonderful! Do I need to say more?

Season 6
Tara: “Things fall apart. They fall apart so hard.”
Willow: “Tara?”
Tara: “You can't ever... put 'em back the way they were.”
Willow: “Are you OK?”
Tara: “I'm sorry. It's just... You know , it takes time. You can't just... have coffee and expect...
Willow: “I know.”
Tara: “There's just so much to work through. Trust has to be built again, on both sides. You have to learn if... if we're even the same people we were, if you can fit in each other's lives. It's a long... important process. Can we just skip it? Can you just be kissing me now?”

Now, this isn't really a speech, I know... But I just love to hear it! You can call a small speech because Tara is talking about getting back together with an ex. Many people have done it and she says that you have to think about so many things before you rushes in to a relationship. Not just with your ex. With anyone. It's a long important process. But in the end she realizes that she can't live without Willows love. She loves her too much to start over, she couldn't wait until they held each other and confessed their love. It's so beautiful and again, this is a speech that makes me cry. Just because it's so beautiful XD Also I take the opportunity to say that Tara's death is wonderful made! The fact that she comments on Willows shirt before she drops and dies.. Willow who can't quite understand what is going on before she holds onto her body. It's sad and perfect. This show has never disappointed me! This season was no exception. Probably my favorite season, but I don't know.. It's a hard pick!

Season 7
Buffy: “You're right. We don't know how to fight it. We don't know when it'll come. We can't run, can't hide. Can't pretend it's not the end, cos it is. Something is always been there to try and destroy the world. We've beaten them back. But we're not dealing with them any more. We're dealing with the reason they exist. Evil. The strongest. The First.”
Giles: “Buffy, umm... I know you're very tired...”
Buffy: “I'm beyond tired. I'm beyond scared. I'm standing on the mouth of hell, and it is gonna swallow me whole. And it'll choke on me. We're not ready. They're not ready. They think we're gonna wait for the end to come, like we always do. I'm done waiting. They want an apocalypse? Well, we'll give 'em one. Anyone else who wants to run, do it now. Cos we just became an army. We just declared war. From now on, we won't just face our worst fears, we will seek them out. We will find them and cut out their hearts one by one, until the First shows itself for what it really is. And I'll kill it myself. There is only one thing on this earth more powerful than evil, and that's us. Any questions?”

This season... I go back and forward about this season. I don't know if I like it or hate it. Probably because it's the last season and that irritates me. But there is another reason. Or lots of other reasons XD 1. Buffy is starting to become a superior bitch who thinks she's better than everyone. 2. Spike goes soft. 3. There's not many funny talks anymore, just speeches of surviving and pain. 4. Those potentials... I really hated them. They were lost girls who floated around like kids and it wasn't amusing to watch. Sorry, but that's my opinion. Although there is lots of moments that I like in this season. Like this speech. It always fills me up with hope and happiness. It shows why Buffy is the leader and it makes me want to follow her because she knows what she's doing. Later on though she just becomes a babbling person who can give a speech about anything. I also like the speech that Xander holds about Buffy. “She has literally died twice to save the world”. Although this gave me, again, more feelings.

That's my list! Hope you enjoyed it and.. Even though Buffy's out from TV.. Buy the DVDs! You'll have fun watching them and watch the commentaries as well! They are really funny! Joss really knows how to entertain as well as educate us! See you next time

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2

For those who haven't seen this movie yet don't read this! The only thing you need to know is that I recomend it fot those who like Harry Potter! You got to see it because it's Harry Potter o.o! So instead of reading this... GO SEE IT! NOW! ... Please?

For you who have seen this (or don't think it'll affect the movie if they read what I'm writing here) first I'm gonna talk about Part 1... Very shortly!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1:
I did not like it!

Part 2:
Ok here's what I thought about Part 2 and why... I'm kidding! I'm gonna explain why I don't like part 1 first XD I'm a fan of the Harry Potter books AND the movies. Until this movie I thought that the movies did hold up to the story and didn't leave out any important parts... Part 1 left out some important parts..
First: They didn't explain how the deatheaters could find them in the muggle world! They had the scene in the cofeeshop where the two men came in and started off the fight there between Harry Potter, Hermione and Ron. I was glad that the scene was in the movie because it is important for the story (why Harry and Hermione can't say Voldemort, as we recall in the fifth movie Hermione started calling Voldemort by his name). In the book when Ron comes back and says he heard Hermione calling his name through the light-thingy he explains that Voldemort had done the same thing.. Put a track on his name. Then Hermione says it is clever since only his worst enimes dare to say his name... Did they put it in the movie? NO!! They didn't explain it! They had the scene but they never explain why it was in there!!! Stupid stupid stupid!
Second: *sigh* This is kind of personal and not really important so don't take this critic so seriously.. The scene where Hermione reads about the Deathly Hollows -.- *sigh* That scene was stupid! Sorry! I love the artwork it is fantastic... But it's something for Hellboy! You know in the second movie the golden army.. It's the same thing! The same colors the same atmosphere and... It's not Harry Potter! I'm sorry.. It's not. It would have been better if Hermione would just have read the book and then the camera would have worked around to see all the faces.. Nothing more was needed. It would have also worked when Ron says that line how his mother used to tell it. This version made it only seem so dorky -.-
Third: I was really disappointed to where the movie ended. It was so much I missed from the book and I didn't think it would lead them much to do in part 2. Just the ending fight like the Lord of the Ring movies... One movie of three hours fighting... I was so disappointed... But when I saw the second part... It was much better.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2:
The movie begins... It was a disappointment how it began.. I thought it was a commercial before I saw Voldemorts hiddeus face o.o I'm sorry! But I really hate the movie version of Voldemort.. That's not Voldemort to me that's just a copy-cat. And then there was a small disappointment.. They didn't put in the Harry Potter music in the beginning. Whule the credit was rolling they could have put it in. It was a perfect time to add that song. It was quiet anyway probably to put in atmosphere but seems it was the last movie... Oh well! It was a small disappointment XD Then the movie jumps right into the story and I'm hooked in! I don't know what to tell you about the story.. You should know it XD You're a Harry Potter fan right? ... No? ... All right! Here's the story... READ THE BOOK! It's a great book so go buy it and read it if you want to understand anything XD

Here's what I don't like in this movie:
VOLDEMORT! How much more can they distroy him o.O When I saw him hugging Draco Malfoy when he goes to his family... I puked o.o It was horrible! And how he giggles and such... Eu! I'm sorry.. And isn't he suppose to have RED EYES! Not blue! Well.. The design for him I can't say much about.. His coat is awsome XD And how much can you do when the description is: He looks like a snake.... Not much! So they try, good for them. But I thought Voldemort was suppose to be mysterious, gracious and things like that... Not a giggle school girl who tries to be a great world ruler. No.. The movies totally destroyed Voldemort... That's all I didn't like about Part 2

What I did like:
All the things I wanted to be in are in there. The fact that the spiders from the forbidden forest fight in the ending battle, that Harry Potter disappears inside Snapes mind, why Voldemort can't use the wand and the King Cross scene. I was really glad that it was put in there. Oh! And also how Voldemort dies! It was very pretty and well made! So that was great! And I liked how Bellatrix went off too... I actually screamed "no" when she did :P I liked her XD And who can forget Fred? I gried more for Fred than I did for Sirius (I think his death was very poorly made in the movies o.o) And how Harry just looks at Remus and doesn't cry and you can just feel how their death affects the rest of the people.. It's very sad.. So that they did well!

I liked this movie! It was good and it does hook you in! I'm gonna see it again XD It was a worthy ending to such a good serie! Love Harry Potter! So sad that it won't come anymore o.o Hopefully we'll get something as epic as that :P Hey! You can still hope for it!

Rango

First of all I apologiza for my absence.. I have a life! Ok? No sorry in that XD But today I saw Rango and now I'm gonna write about it here like I always do when I see a new movie ^^

So what did I think about Rango? .... SEEN IT! For one hour the movie didn't hook me in. I had seen it (shark tale) and it didn't found a new way to tell the story. You see, today it's tricky to make a movie we haven't already seen. Everything has been done before! There are millions or billions of movies out there! How can you possibly make a movie that hasn't been seen? The only way we can appriciate it is to do another version of that story... This didn't. The only thing pleasant about Rango was the animation. I liked this animation ^^ It was very well done! The details was impressive! And the ending was a new one.

One hour of boredomeness before 20 minutes of sighes and in the last 20 minutes... The movie hook me in. Now is that a critic you want to hear? That only in the last 20 minutes the movie is interesting and new o.O?

The movie is about a dreaming lizard who is dreaming of another life... You see that in the first 5 minutes (You don't get to know the life before the big adventure but I think that was what the director was after). We see his glas box (Don't know the word for an akvarium for lizards) get shattered on a road though his owners was about to move... I think. So he is left in desert. He goes to a village where the water is almost gone and then he comes to a realisation. He can be anybody there seem that no one knew who he was. Big dreamer everyone... Here is when it becomes old. You could probably imagine what happens... Think of Shark tale and you know exatly how the whole movie is played out. The villagers make him a sheriff since he killed a hawk (by accident) but here's the twist.. He doesn't make a fool out of himself. He seems to getting into the role even though he makes mistakes, they wasn't so big that he couldn't fix them up somehow.. And he knows HOW to search for clues when the last water is stolen.. That was really... I don't know.. The lizard knew where to look for clues, like shoes and stuff and... It just seemed like the director hadn't thought about that... Nobody knew who this lizard was before this adventure not even the director! At least it felt like it.

Well the story goes that he finds the water big shock that the humans was responsible for it to go away. So they return the water and everything turns out ok and it ends in a western way... But they did it wrong o.o And not at least funny! Because they did it wrong they extended the joke and it didn't work.. I think I laughed three times in the whole movie and it was just so boring! Everything about this movie was boring o.o

The biggest disappointment where all the sighes went up and I really let the hopes go down for the movie was the snake.... *sigh* That snake... I had so much hope for it. It would be like the hawk and it was just gonna be a snake eating like a snake does.... *sigh* They made it a big weapon... All I could think of was Jafar. Aladdin! But I loved the sound of it. But again... We have those sounds in Transformers and they are much cooler there because they have a REASON to sound like that! What where these people thinking of when they made this movie o.o?! I think it went something like this: "We want to do a movie where Johnny Depp is a lizard! In the desert! ... Let's see what other stories we can combine with that!" ... BORING!!

Nope! I don't recomend this movie because you're just gonna fall asleep in the couch! Dreaming of much better movies that at least tries to be original! When I saw the cover and the trailer for this movie I sighed and I didn't want to see it... I really hoped that it would prove me wrong...

Better luck next time!

The Sunset Limited

I think they said "No one comes to the theatere anymore, they go to the cinima" ... Here's a play that was made into a movie and by God... I'm glad that it was.

The story is about relegion (At least that's how I interpret it). There's this christian man that picks up another man who just tried to kill himself. They don't show it in the movie. The whole movie is filmed in the christian mans apartment. You'll hear them talk about their believes and their different stories. It probably sounds boring, I mean who would like to listen to two men talking about relegion? It's not boring. The way they are talking is both funny and scary. Both of them are right in their own way. Relegion has never been about right or wrong. It is about what you believe and they mention it many times in the movie. Well.. There you go XD That's the movie. Two men talking to each other, there's nothing more to it than that. No violence, no other characters... It's a change of pace and unlike Black Swan.. This movie did a very good job at keeping the audience interested. It knew how to do that. The filming was good, no shaky camera which did the good job of keeping the mood calm and the actors did most of the work. There was calm music, exept in the end which I kind of got irritated with, at this part I didn't want an music to tell me what I would feel. So that's a minus but it's a small one.

I stumble across this when I was watching some channel, I saw that Tommy Lee Jones was in it and I really like him.. and I got stuck. I sat with my mouth open and tried not to listen or think about anything else. I tried to take in everything the men was saying but... Tommy Lee said some complicated stuff that I didn't understand but.. It was still nice because I agreed to everything he said. Even the christian man had his moments where he was right. I watched the movie TWICE in ONE day. The second time I got the feeling of the men had been through the same thing but had chosed different paths. Maybe that isn't entirly true but... It was a feeling I got.

I liked this movie very much and it had me realed in by the first sentence. I couldn't even turn it off XD I thought to myself "I can rent this movie and then see the beginning so I should turn it off now so I don't see the ending" ... Big surprise that I couldn't turn it off. And I didn't want it to end either :P I was like: "No! That can't be the end! There has to be more!" so... Very good movie! I recomend it ^^

Shrek Forever After

Does anyone believe this is the last chapter?
Anyway! ... I liked it o.O To my big surprise... I thought this was going to be a disappointment like the third movie (I didn't like that) But this... I say they could've skipped the third movie and jumped to this one instead XD It fit perfectly into the story. First Fiona and Shrek founds each other. In the second movie it's fiona that needs to appritiate Shrek. In the third movie... they have kids. But in the fourth movie Shrek is the one that needs to appritiate Fiona and his family! I know it has been done a million things before and bla bla bla! There's a lot of movies we've seen before and they keep coming and coming! Maybe for a reason guys XD Anyway! I think this fits into the Shrek and Fiona chapter.

Since this is a fourth story I don't need to go in much of a detail of the characters or the actor playing (They have good actors in all these movies and I'm glad they've stucked to the original cast through four whole movies!) So lets get to the visuals instead. Some real nice shots are threwn in there! Like the one when Shrek runs through that cornfield or what that is.. When I saw those pictures I was like: "wow! Nice!" So points for that XD I also love the detailing in the eyes the Shrek movies get you... But that's just a side note XD I loved this one because it threw in a much darker tone in it than the other movies. I mean think about it... The first movie didn't have dark colors in it. Just some sunsets and sunrises and that was really nice... The second movie had the fairy god mother that just... Sparkled with colors! The third movie... Had babies. ... But this movie! The landskape reminded me of Lion King when Scar had the power! And that colorful castle in the middle of it made me laugh XD And even there the dark tones is shown more, the duck is scary for younger kids... Or it should have when I was young! Now a days kids don't get scared that easily -.- But still! The duck.. or goose! had scary details which was nice! And then the ending where the castle disappears... It was a nice touch that Rumpelstilltskin was the last one left, I thought first it was going to be Fiona o.O And then the colors disappears and all that's left is a sea of black and fire... So nice to see!

Anyway! The story.. Well.. As I said we've seen it before and bla bla bla... But I still thought it was different. How Shrek was trying to get Fiona remember that she loves him. No one has done that. ... What I've seen XD They always try to figure out a way to end the "curse" or what you say.. But not with a "true loves kiss". Not what I've seen anyway XD So to see and remember everything from the first movie was so wonderful. To see why Shrek fell in love with Fiona and why those are such a perfect couple XD It was nice to see.. The movie got a lot of "aaww" and "Ah!" and "Hahaha!!" from me XD I really got stuck in the movie and still it held true to the Shrek story! I liked it! And now you know why XD

... or maybe I just liked it because I didn't expect much of it o.O *shrug shoulders* Anyway XD That doesn't matter! Have a great day!

I love you, Beth Cooper

Worst movie ever!
Ok, that was a little harsh I admit it... But that's really true! I've never seen a more unnecessary movie! (I never saw North and never gonna see it either) You don't learn a lesson from watching it, except maybe "don't look at this piece of shit again". It was a horrible experience. It never hooked me in either. I'll tell you what it's about if I just figure it out first....... ...... Ok! I think I have it! ... Wait, no.. ....... Now! Ok!

There's the same cliché story about a boy who wants a girl. The unpopular guy wants the cheerleader, you know the drill... Well.. If you look at the back of the case it says: "A nerdy valedictorian proclaims his love for the hottest and most popular girl in school - Beth Cooper - during his graduation speech. Much to his surprise, Beth shows up at his door that very night and decides to show him the best night of his life." ... If you think like me when you hear a thing like that you hear like: "She's gonna rock his world that night"... Yeah.... The only interesting is a kiss. That's all we get from this movie. I'll tell you more about that disappointment later. First.. Let me tell you about the biggest disappointment. The night. It starts off with Danny(I think that's what the main character was called...) having a party in his house, he invites Beth and his friend... And that's it. So Beth brings her two friends and then they have a catastrophe to party in the house. Then Beth's boyfriend comes to the house, apparently he is this army guy so he tracks down Beth's phone and starts chasing Danny all over the house and they have the lamest fight scene EVER! Then Beth's boyfriend chases Danny and his friend(Can't remember the name) over to the roof and Danny and the friend jump down to the yard. The chasing scene ends up with Beth driving over Danny and then gets him a lift and his friend to.. A forest? I don't know... Danny don't get any injuries or anything, yay! He gets to live! Anyway! So it's Danny, Beth, Dannys friend and two other girls that I don't remember the name or.. I don't even know if they gave them names.. Well.. I think after that they end up driving again and then some other pointless stuff happens and then they go to a party where Beth's boyfriend is there again so they have another bad fightscene and Beth crashes in with her boyfriends car into the house! OMG!!!! I died when I saw that and I knew the movie was just going downhill after that. Yeah.. The boyfriend tracks down his car again and he chases them again so the friend comes in with a TOWEL and finally fight down the bastard! YAY! Finally we don't get to see him! Next scene! Well they drive off (they're smart enough not using the boyfriends car but at this point you're really surprised by that) And they have this moment where it's supposed to be "the monent where they fall in love" that crap that I like! Guess what... The movie doesn't have that scene! But they have a racoon that shows its teeth! Stupid movie!

Do I even have to go on? Do you need more? I can say this: The main character is awful right from the beginning! I don't know why but I got the feeling that the actor was terrible at acting too... Don't know if that's true or just horrible script and directing. All the characters where underwheloped except for Beth Cooper who was... A real horror! He broke the law several times, how she got a drivers license is.. I have no idea how she did that! Or if she even have one but she has a car so I guess that! No.. t was just a pure horrible piece of shit I have ever witness in the movie line! No story, no valuable lesson, nothing! And I wonder how much money they must've spent on doing that crap!

So.. An advice from me.. Don't see this movie! Even watching grass grow is more entertaining than this! Good God!

Easy A

Wow! It's hot today!
I just saw a teenage movie... No! I didn't mean it like that! It's like.. 30 degrees in my home! And it's really... well hot..

Anyway! Now that you're destracted I have a little confession to make... I LOVE teenage movies. Everyone of them have their own version of the life in collage and High School, all the Amarican Pie movies I've seen... A LOT! So that's my little confession.

That takes me to this movie XD I looked up a movie called "Easy A" and at first I thought it was like a girl tries the easiest way to get an A in school... It's not.
It's about a girl that gets a reputation as a slut in High School and you could probably guess that none of it is true. Even if the story is very cliché the movie did a great job to keeping it original. ... At least I thought that. Well, the reputation goes on and on and gets worse and worse, but in all teenage movies, it has a happy ending ^^

I think this movie was good. Not great, not horrible or bad, just.. good. And I think this movie is going to be in my thoughts a very long time... At least for a day or two XD I especially like all the commentary.. It was really great listening to all the puns, is it called like that? It was really great hearing a girl who talk fast talk back to someone. It was really fun listening at and the movie kept my interest all the way. Good work!

Although there was some camera work that got me a little irrated sometimes (The actress, Emma Stone's, camera work was much better than the rest XD) but it was still pretty good. The lightning.. GREAT! Love the lightning in the movie! It was a little cliché that the main character had red hair, but.. What could you really expect? The wardrobe for this movie was GREAT! ... I don't really know what to say more about that XD It's not often you think of the wardrobe of a movie (At least not a teenage movie) but this really caught your attention so that was great! AWSOME!

The last thing I was gonna talk about was the actresses... Great actresses! Oh, come on! I've used the word "great" all this time you couldn't be surprised by that. But really! They got some great actresses in this movie and it showed they knew what they were doing! Really professinal!

Ok, the VERY last thing I'm gonna talk about is the characters.. They were very interesting. Her family was so wonderful to follow! They really seemed as a warming family and that is always great to watch.
Her friend is not that special really, I've seen some who act like that and I'm sure you have too so it wasn't something that was exaggerated. And that was great. Although it wasn't that much big of deal when they SPOILER! end the friendship because that friend wasn't really a good friend. She was fun, but.. Not a good friend. In my oppinion. But then again, you couldn't really call Olive to be a good friend either.
The religios girl is a really fun character. One that comes along very often in teenage movies. She was really great to watch because they actually managed to get her very christian! Like SPOILER! when she thought she had gotten Olive to her side as a good christian she was really happy and wanted to become friends with her. Isn't that what a true christian would do? "Forgive thy neighbour"? Or was it love? Or was it both? ... I don't know! Something like that! Next subject!
The counselor was played by none other than Lisa Kudrow and I love that actor! I don't know why but she always get those weird over excited parts which I like XD Anyway... The only thing I'm gonna say about this is... Why couldn't I get a counselor like that?! Why couldn't I get a handful of condoms when I said I was in a relationship? You know what I got?! A nod.. A single head nod and a smile. Yeah! That will protect me! Stupid..

Well! Before I talk about the whole movie (Or rather before I destroy it for you) I would just say.. If you're a fan of teenage movies.. Go see this one. It's worth your time, believe me!

Ok then! ... Bye!

(Sorry for the late movie post and I'll try not to let it happen again! Love you all!)

The Social Network

Wow, when you really look at it I watch a lot of movies!

That wasn't really what I wanted to say, though. I was going to talk about "The social Network". I've wanted to see it since I saw the first commersial of it. Although I soon forgot about it, even its name! Then I saw a reward show and this movie was nominated for.. a lot! And I knew it was that movie because they talked about it and everything like that, yeah! So that made me more interested about the movie, although my expectations sunk a little bit because my experience tells me that the reward winning movie isn't as good as they're saying. So a time went by and I still haven't taken the time to see it but I hear more about it. More so that I learned the name of it! Yeah! I actually learned it before I saw it!

And tonight I've seen it. And let me tell you.... It was AWSOME!

I really liked it! It had me hooked in all the way through! When it was half an hour left on the movie I was like: "No... That can't be right? It can't be done in just a half hour! It has to be at least one hour left!" That's really good impression. And the camera must have been good because nothing irritated me on that part. However the lightning flickered in one scene, but I think it was just our TV that wasn't quite there.... I don't know! That's why I mentioned it in case you had the same problem.. Anyway!

The story was great! It was great told, the thing I noticed was it was filmed like "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" (A great movie I must say.) And that didn't bother me. Sure the movie jumped around a little but it was done in a fun way, not in a irritated way. So that was handled very well, even though they jumped around in different settings you did know what was going on and you could follow it. And as I've been complaining most about in this blog, THEY DID EXPLAIN EVERYTHING! Yes they did! I was waiting for an explination in the end on what was really going on and I got it. I really liked it.

And here's an interesting point also, just rambling something I guess, but I wanted to take it in anyway. The characters was speaking rather fast. I liked it because it indicates that the person is very smart and has an answer to anything, I personaly enjoy listening to people who talk fast because... Ok, I don't really have an answer to that, it's just my personal taste so lest forget about that and cut to the chase why I brought it up in the first place. The adults that see this movie, the ones that aren't so in to the thing with computers and stuff, you'll have to remember that everyone doesn't own a computer and that can be a little tricky. So in that part it was a little minus, but still a small one because they DOES explain everything and in DVD you can paus it and turn on the subtitle if you don't understand everything, sorry, but aren't the technice a wonderful thing? Still, a little downside that MOST of the cast talked fast because they were familiar to these sort of thing. But the actors did an incredible job on not stammer on the lines when they where talking. Really great job guys!

And last... The only thing I didn't like about the movie, was the ending. I don't know if it was because the movie actually ended (I wanted it to go on forever almost!) or if it was that it ended so suddenly. I wanted to know a little bit more even if I really did get everything I needed. So... It was good! I really liked it and I'll be seeing it again for sure!

Kiss of the Dragon

I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!!

Sorry XD I just finished off with Kiss of the Dragon, I was only going to have it in the background while I was doing something else. That worked a bit in the begenning, but after a couple of minutes... I was stuck. About a half hour in the movie I couldn't take my eyes of it and I watched and everytime it was a commersial I cried out XD It was really good and it kept on being intressting!

It was kind of a Jackie Chan movie but with an asian man that looked a little like Keanu Reeves! He was not that bad looking I must say. But even if you don't look at that, you're gonna love this movie. It had everything! Nice fighting moves, an intressting story, but not too much so that the fights are still intressting. Sometimes a story can take over the movie so that the fights just are in the way. This movie wasn't like that. It had fighting in every scene, almost and the characters where intressting and a lot of stuff that I like in a movie.

I read about it first and it said that it was a french chineese movie. When I read it like that I thought it was going to be on two languaches... One time they speak Chinese and in another time they speak french, but it wasn't like that. They kept the languache in English and only for a couple of seconds in the whole mocie they spoke french. So that was really good too!

And I loved that they didn't have that shaky camera in the fights. Here you could actually see the fight moves! Without that slowmotion that America seems to like. You could see the moves in full clearity and... The whole movie was nicely filmed AND I loved the lights! It was really good!

One thing more was... There was this one scene where a person died.. Harry Potter should take lessons in this moviemaking because.. this one person wasn't in the movie for long, I hardly knew who that was... STILL I got a little touchy feelings for that one person who died. I didn't get those feelings when I saw Serius die (I'm sorry, but that's really awfully filmed) There, he just vanished... "Poff" like Slughorn says. I didn't get ANY feelings at all from that. But here.. It was done REALLY well that I got a little teary in my eyes. I liked it very much.

I'm gonna talk about the ending next to round things up but it's short and I'm not revealing much but.. It was great done! All I'm saying is that the make-up did a nice work on that last scene. And I loved that everyone kept their scars in this movie. You know how other movies usually forgets that the person was hurt just a minute ago.. This did not forget that.

I really liked this movie and that shows probably. I'm gonna see it again. And I think you should see it too if you haven't seen it yet. It was real fun to watch. I wanna see it again right now.
See you next time!

Black Swan

Let's see if it was as good as averybody says....

No.
Sorry, I think I had too much expectations on this one so I got a little disappointed I guess. But here's the thing... It's still a fantastic movie! And you HAVE to see this one! If I can say that and I didn't like it then they have done something real good.

The only thing was that after a while I started to get sick of the movie... Right around when the conclusion was about to come I got tired and really didn't care what happened because, again, I was waiting for an explination. But again, you don't get one. Not really anyway, I'm gonna talk more about that later. So.. yeah! There was this scary imagery after scary imagery and after one hour of just the movie trying to scare you for no reason.... It really tires me out. I want an explination, even if the thing is really well done and it can really look scary... I don't care, it's boring after a while.
I get that imagery that if someone was flashing with a bloody hand in front of your face for one hour and then asked "Are you scared yet?", I got a feeling of that after a while, and that's not good.

And then I'm not saying much here because I don't want to spoil it for you, it is a spectacular movie and if you haven't seen it yet, do it! But about the explination.. You don't really get one, the movie isn't spitting it out like in other movies. You have to figure out for yourself what is going on. So it's like a puzzle and you have to figure out the pieces. It's like they show you a brain and then you have to figure out if something's wrong with it. It's like that. And that's really interesting because there aren't many movies that's like that. So yeah.. It's a psycological piece where you have to figure out what it's trying to say and with great special effects! So.. SEE IT!

I didn't like the movie that much and still I can't get it out of my head! THAT is some great work! Congratulations to you!

Keanu Reeves

I have to say something before this anger takes over my body and I try ti kill someone because of what someone else has said...

Can everybody stop pick on Keanu Reeves? I'm really sick of everyone calling him a bad actor! ... Ok, I've heard at least three people say that he was a bad actor but still! It drives me crazy! I've been watching Nostalgia Critic and as soon as there someone who is a bad actor and he says that he had the same acting coach as someone... He turns to Keanu Reeves! I really hate it! Stop picking on him! He is not that bad! Not to my oppinion! He actually can do one role good and if you at least can do that, you're not a bad actor!

I liked Keanu Reeves in Constantine, I liked him in Matrix, Something's gotta Give and The lake house and in some other movies he was also pretty decent. And that's at least Four movies I like him in! If I can stand to watch him in four movies doesn't that make him a good actor? And also! the Matrix is three movies and I liked him in all of them! To me he is not the worst but he is not the best actor either, he's somewhere in the middle but still! Stop pick on him! He makes a good job!

Ok.. This is pretty much my oppinion really and you can think what you want but it hurts me so much when I like one actor and then someone is constantly saying that it's wrong and that he or she is a bad actor. I would've let it past if NC only said it once but he says that more than once! And now I had to say something so.. there! My oppinion said! There are more of these things that he makes, you know saying an actor who I like is bad but I don't think that it's as assulting as this though he hasn't nagged about it and so on. It's just Keanu Reeves that really gets to me because he says like everybody thinks like him... Well! Now I've said it and now I'm gonna shut up about it!

But I am gonna talk about another character that he says everybody hates and constantly makes jokes about him...

Seven Pounds

To think that the first movie I write about here is someone I didn't like -.-

I think I expected more than I got... And I didn't expect much! I can say this: I didn't know what the hell was going on. And I don't feel like I got an explanation. Never in the whole movie did they explain what was going on. You had to guess it all! It felt like they were laying a puzzle before you with 1000 pieces and said: “Here! Solve this!” I mean... That doesn't work for me. It's ok if it where like a detective movie or what you call those, because even with those you get an explanation afterwards.. A motive, some back story and stuff like that. That can be interesting even if I'm no fan of those... But this movie plaid it out that you had to solve the puzzle you self. It gives you all the pieces, but they forgot the motive. That really bugged me... And.. They saved all the given explanations to the end of the movie... So for one hour you go like “What? Why? How? Huh?!” And when you finally get SOME answers you still have some more questions that's rolling in your head. And before you know it... They show you the end credits... That really pissed me off.

The movie starts with the ending (Sometimes that works, but some people can't handle it that good) And directly after that I had some questions... “Is this before or after the movie?” But I let that question go as I guessed that I would found it out later. Then the main character says that God created the world in seven days. Another question popped into my head.. “Didn't God create the world in six days and on the seventh day he rested? That's why Sunday is a day off?” So that bugged me in ten minutes... And another thing that bugged me shortly after that... There was this one cameraman that couldn't hold the camera still. In some shots that works, but not when people are just talking to each other! I've seen that mistake (to me it's a mistake) in many new movies actually and that always bugs me somehow. Sometimes I can ignore it if the rest of the movie is good, but even if this movie was good that scene would still drive me crazy. The camera was shaking like someone was running with it! You know that old people (Sorry) are shaking very much? I'm not saying that all old people do that, but I've forgotten what that certain sickness is called right now, but I hope you get the idea. The camera was shaking like someone like that hold it! Wouldn't that bug you too?

There was also another thing I noticed.. The edit was terrible! There was this one shot on the two characters from the above and they held it for 5 seconds! The shot didn't look good, it wasn't necessary and it destroyed the scene. It irritated me. Also there was this one shot in a car and they held the camera really wrong so the character's eyes got cut off until someone told her to lean forward so she'll be in the picture... WHAT THE HELL?! Move the camera man a little to the right and the shot would work! That did not work! There was a lot of those scenes!

SPOILER

Ok, now I'm gonna talk about the story... It would've been a good story if they did it right! The main character's name is Ben Thompson... Or is it? I don't know! It just came out of nowhere! We follow Ben(?) and sees that he helps people who deserves it... Why? I don't know! That also came out of nowhere! Ben is troubled. Why? I think it's because he was too worked up in his work more than the woman he loved. I found that out when it was just ten minutes left on the movie! Before that it was only clips on him doing God knows what. But I think he thinks that he is responsible for her death. They were driving and he got a text message and decided to answer on it real quick, this would've been great message to tell everyone to knock off they're phone while driving... Too bad they only show it for five seconds and after that everything happened too fast so you can't really follow that! People can't usually see what's in front of their eyes so you have to wave it better in front of them! Well you can probably guess what's happening next... You think he'll drive off the road? Wrong! You think he'll crash into another car? Wrong! He ducks (Can't come up with a better word right now) and slides off the road and the other car, a truck, is flying over the road and rolling over so that Those people die too... At least I think they do, I don't really know that much about what happens to them though they never explain that either.. What do you think happens after that? He'll wake up on a hospital? No... He wakes up in the car watching his wife dead? No... He walks towards the car and then kneels beside his wife who lies on the ground.... When did he got out from the car? Why isn't he dead like his wife? What happened?! .. they don't explain it.

Also I said that I don't really know what his name is... Here's why: He has a brother.. In one scene he confront the main character and says “Tim”... Ok.. After that he says “Get me my ID” Ok.. Did he steal his identity? In that case why? But there's more! After that Ben or Tim is saying again and again that he'll explain the next day. Only he can get to the house and talk to his date.. The brother says “No! Give me the car keys, I'm not going anywhere!” Ben or Tim says Ok, goes inside.. Tries to say to his date that he needs to go.. She doesn't want him to leave and convinces him with a kiss on the cheek. After that they have sex..... HIS BROTHER IS OUTSIDE WAITING!!! He even said that he would drag Ben or Tim out of there if he didn't came out! But the movie never stops surprise you! The brother doesn't come up. In the same scene they have some more clips that made me confused on which timezone I was in, but that wasn't that important. Ben or Tim gets out of the house and I thought the brother would confront him again to have that talk he had been nagging about... He is not there. In this point I loudly sighed at the movie and stopped caring! I thought I was going to be given the answers at the end so I stopped puzzling in the middle of it and waited for the end (Just so you know.. That's NOT good!) and yeah...

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!

Ben or Tim kills himself I think I know why, but... I'm not really sure.. And after that he donates his heart to his dying date that he had sex with when his brother was NOT waiting outside. Ok, that's kind and I liked that part, but it could've been done better! After she wakes up and he is dead she gets a talk with Ben or Tims brother.. He says that Ben or Tim had donated a lot of organs to people. He also said a bunch of other stuff that I didn't quite catch.. Something about a lightning or... I don't know! It just made me confused and made me think about how Zeus must've had a REALLY bad day! I guess he was someone who donated organs to people or something like that but you don't really get an explanation. The movie ends there... Kind of.

I wanted to see something that Will Smith made in I, Robot... An explanation on WHY he hated the robots! Just him talking to the girl he liked.. No! We don't get any of that! He just shuts himself up and never talks about himself...... GRRRR!!!! I still have some questions that needs answers! Where did this organs donating mania come from?! Before his wife death he was busy with work! So when did he start donate? WHY?! Something like that is a REAL big deal and a person doesn't just wake up one morning and says “I'm gonna kill myself today and donate my organs to those who deserves it!” … NO! That has to come from somewhere! And I wanna know why! If this movie was done correctly, put some more thought around the big stuff it could've been real touching. It could've made me cry.. But instead it made me sigh loudly! SIGH!

No! Sorry, but I did not think this move was good! Will Smith is great and I love him, but... He can't make a movie great by himself.. He really can't.

Why?

Here it is folks!

In my other blog http://ooptimistland.blogspot.com/ I said that I was going to put up a movie blig since I talk so much about a movie I've recently seen. Well, here it is! And I hope you'll like it.
As for the rest of you who stumbles across this blog I hope you'll enjoy it too! But have in mind that this is my personal oppinion and I write this down to probably open your eyes a little and tell you why a movie was bad or good. It's like an open discussion where only my oppinion matter ^^
I'm trying to be as entertainment as I can while expressing my oppinion so you won't get bored while reading it and I know that my language is a bit specual, but I haven't heard a complain so far so I'll just continue with it till someone stops me X)

Well, I probably should mention this early.. When I'm writing about a movie here I'll probably going to mention the ending of the movie. But if I do that I'll write "Spoiler" so you'll know if you don't want to know the ending you can stop reading. I'll also say this: I'm writing from an artist perspective so I'll probably look on a movie from a different way, but don't we all have our special ways that we look on a movie? Anyway! That's what I'll say for the first post here ^^ I'm trying to keep it short and that's REALLY hard for me!

Oh! One last thing! I'll try to post here as often as I can, but right now I'm sitting with two jobs in my hands and it can get a little short amount of times to watch movies, but I'll try my best since people have recuested me to do this for a long time now :P

Well! Have a nice trip though a artist movie blog and have a nice day!
